They can arrest a corrections officer on simple domestic battery, but can’t arrest several officers for murder of a handcuffed man while in custody. Make it make sense.
One officer arrested is bad enough and can be passed of with the "few bad apples" lie and then they go on terrorizing citizens at will. Now mass arrests of cops...that's a disaster and quite rare.
Hold accountable the correction officers beat the young man while he was handcuffed that’s who need to be held accountable. That should’ve hit the news as soon as it happened this world is smh
Holy cow, 19 total JSO employee arrests JUST THIS YEAR, 2024??? That is insane. It sounds like JSO needs to do better at hiring officers with integrity and honor, and also creating an atmosphere to continue promoting those values in an ongoing manner. JSO needs new leadership and guidance.
@@ELJEFFE904 no I havent. Not from FL but I've seen a lot of bad officer news from there just in the last few weeks, making national news. Definitely NOT good news stories.
Having been married to a law enforcement officer for 12 years, and having to leave with my toothbrush and my children in tow, I’m convinced they tend to be violent or have a violent nature. As a result, I will not date or become involved romantically with anyone who works in any law enforcement capacity from the office to the jailhouse!
@martystrasinger3801 Actually, they've said any agent of any government agency is immune from prosecution for acts performed in the performance of their official duties. It's called "Qualified Immunity". BTW, it's why Barack Obama wasn't charged with treason for giving planeloads of money to Iran, making the US the world's #1 sponsor of terrorism.
As a law enforcement officer of 30 years I have personally issued around 100 summons ie tickets to law enforcement officers and arrested probably 30 for criminal charges from dui to domestic assault. You don’t have a clue what you are talking about.
@russellhixson1692 I suppose I must have imagined all the times I was on my nightly walk and, after waiting patiently for the light to change, stepped into the crosswalk only to be chased back up on the sidewalk by a local police car that ran the red light, made the right turn at too high speed, and took off up the hill to the local substation. Or all the times I was passed on the Interstate by a marked police car traveling, without lights or siren, at double the posted speed limit. And, how many times have YOU, in your 30 years, pulled over a private vehicle and, after the driver identified himself as a fellow LEO, let him off with a warning in the name of "professional courtesy"? I'll bet you did that FAR more often than you wrote that driver a ticket. But that's NOT professional courtesy. It's figuratively urinating on your badge and your oath AND those of the officer you let off the hook. IF you were to truly honor those things, when that other officer ID'd himself, it guaranteed he got the ticket. Of course, that would require that you held yourselves to a higher standard of behavior. As it is, you don't hold yourselves to the same standard you hold the rest of us to.
So he was arrested for this and will probably lose his job and pension but if he had killed a person in his custody with several other officers by brutally beating him to death on video there would be just an investigation
Sheriff you stand so bravely unconscious to the fact that this correctional officer shares the behavioral traits of most humans. As you stand so eager to share this announcement. I strongly suggest you contact the state regarding implementing policies and procedures to address mental health issues within state, local and county policing. Sheriff because the world is not a utopia society, I strongly suggest you ensure your very own department is mentally intact knowing today is corrections day but tomorrow can easily be your department day. And trust me that day will come, as you mentioned this case is under internal investigation let’s wait for the conclusion of the investigation. We all know policing has its way of taking situation way out of content and are masters of fabrication and deception.
They did not want to answer questions because they didn’t give enough time to even hear a single question on this arrest. It also sounds like they arrested the wrong person
These arrests, convictions, and sentencing have to be carefully followed as law enforcement gets the blind approval of regulatory agencies such as the Board of Social Workers. These crimes are seamlessly wrapped by our violent and deeply racist society!
Keep them clowns in line. Good job. And if y'all listened he is on administrative leave until the outcome of case. I'm sure he'll win and not be held accountable.
They try to keep us focus on shit that we don't care about to keep our minds off the shit that do matter. I hate when people try to play me for a fool.... lying mfs, arrest the officers that beat that handcuffed man.
Big deal!! So he grabbed her arm, and she fell when she backed up! Now, they are going to fry the guy, and destroy his entire life, all because he grabbed some woman’s arm! What about all the years he served the public honorably in a dangerous job? All of that is forgotten now! This Sheriff’s dept is making an example of him, in attempt to prove to the public how saintly they are. . .
they needed someone to to take one for the team! so the sheeple get feed this BS! while covering up for some big shit they don't want getting out into the wild....
Well well its clear they must be hiring paychopaths regularly and then they hurt or kill people in jail then get fired so this is truly a prison horror case. This guy looks like hes not bothered much about this disgusting horror prison or the workers psychotic behavior there. Whats he lying about and whats the cover up i smell cause unless you release dogs they dont bite like that?

The Supreme Court says one particular person is.

Sacrificial lamb, what a bs arrest
He got arrested cause he grabbed some keys. And he got hurt. That's crazy.
Some keys 🤔
So basically a family issue. If the officer had injuries and victim didn't how is the officer arrested
Need show mugshot police officer proof evidence

Not enough information to agree on such severe punishment.???

Really, Really 😮 For a misdemeanor, this should be family business, not police business. The department must have really hated this officer.
It's a crime
Imagine how he treated inmates ?
My question would have been, Can you please transfer that agency to NY
Uh huh. How many of your own officers have gotten away with the save crime? No one is above the law my rear..

It makes you think how this corectional officer treats inmates at the prison were he works.
Call in the inactive army Rangers for help. We dont let the inmates run the jail. Get everybody under control and lets reset.
