How to Suck Flies Up a Vacuum Cleaner.
Using a small drink bottle that is see through, you can suck flies up your vacuum cleaner easily.
I got the idea from a window. If you haven't noticed, flies don't seem to understand the concept that windows are something you can't fly through. I tested this idea by squashing flies with a see through CD case. Same effect. It doesn't seem to be an easily detectable thing for them.
So I took the idea a few steps further by just cutting the end off a see through drink bottle and then adding some tape to the neck so it fitted on the vacuum.
Yeah, I know, I should have done the dishes before shooting the video. Don't worry, they will get done.
It's super easy to make and makes getting rid of flies super easy.
Best of all, no fly guts and no chemicals.

I ran an experiment to see if they could make it out again. It seems like they can't. I left a jar on the end of the hose over night and the flies must have still been stuck in the bag.

I do this in the video without the empty bottle and it works like a charm, but they do fly away half the time. I'll try the bottle so it doesnt take me so long to catch them.

Do they die right away? Today about 50+ flies flew in from our garage and I got tired of swatting them with a towel and finally took our Kirby and got the rest. My husband said they may be able to lay eggs in the vacuum bag…..😖😩
