Dude the new dialogue is EVERYTHING. The fact that during summer i had Lewis be like "Hey your melons are probably almost ripe now. Your grandpa's favorite dish had melons in it." and then Gus later was like "Lewis said your tomatoes ripened real well! Imagine a culinary world without tomatoes." Like im having to un-learn my speed click through of dialogue cause i feel like so much attention and love has been added

One the biggest ones I LOVE is ConcernedApe's support for modding. Some of the features in 1.6 feel like previously modded things and he also worked with the modders for SMAPI and SVE!
1.6 was originally like, almost entirely for modders too. It makes a lot of major coding changes and the goal was, very openly, to make modding easier to do and more powerful in its capabilities.
Yes! My bf was having trouble getting on one day, so I was messing around in the menu while I waited. When I looked in the credits section, I got really excited to see Pathoschild officially there! He made the Seasonal Outfits mod, among other things, so I’m pretty sure he did a lot for the new winter outfits.

I have barely interacted with this community but so far pretty much all I've seen is people hating on characters for the most entitled and cruel reasons and players fighting each other over optimization routes lol, not to mention how pretty much all mods that add NPCs that I tried so far seem to have been made by or pandering to terminally online twitter dwellers who haven't interacted with a real person in years
@@rajkanishuLike the other reply says, I think if you keep looking you can find the wholesomeness :) I've interacted with a lot of great and kind people through this community, and yes we have negativity too, but at least in my experience the majority of us are positive
The community is definitely the best part of this game for me. Stardew is the only game I've actually joined the big discord for, because I wanted to get into modding, and I was terrified it would be a cesspit of garbage like most other big gaming communities are. It's law of numbers -- the more people you get in one place the more jerks you find. If there's 1 jerk to every 100 people, that's still a lot of jerks. Everybody in the Stardew Discord has been so incredibly sweet and welcoming, especially the modding and art communities, which I find tend to be the LEAST friendly to newcomers traditionally in fandoms. Basically every time I go into the modding chat it's full of people helping someone troubleshoot, or collaborative idea sharing, or people just complimenting each others' work. Absolutely phenomenal you funky little video game
Same!!! When I first started playing the game with mods, I absolutely /destroyed/ my save and I was devastated. I joined a discord and everyone was so so nice- someone even went and fixed my game files by hand. I'll never forget how kind that person was. I've never had an experience like that in a game community before and it'll always stay with me ^^
Honestly I love all the new gift specific dialogue, like how Sandy will comment on the smell forage flowers, Alex will eat the eggs you give him raw, and Hailey will mention that coconuts remind her of the beach. Makes their preferences feel all the more intentional instead of just "Wow this is great!"
stardew valley is such a beautiful game. especially as someone who has a lot of hours in the sims 4, its just so refreshing to feel the dedication and love that has been put into stardew valley. 15eur up front and no money grab broken dlcs, only expansive free updates. i count more (and often game breaking) bugs in one sitting of the ts4 than i have ever experienced in stardew throughout my entire time playing it, and all bugs that i have experienced have since been patched. i started playing modded not long ago and there i also see such a difference between the two, it really is fixing and adding missing parts vs complimenting. the game feels whole and it has so many beautiful little thought out details and how many possible things there are to do, it feels so so polished. the genius it takes, to make a game that feels so whole and easy to follow but yet sets you free to do whatever you want. it lets you play at your own pace and in your own way. and its so nice to see CA reply to tweets of people bringing up issues they have and promising to get to fixing it immediately, and smapi telling me i need to remove a mod from my mod folder because the feature has been implemented into the game (esp after playing the sims which has been having the same major bugs for over half a decade, and only keeps introducing new ones, that you often even pay for, before fixing the already existing issues). its really exciting to play a game that feels so truly loved and cared for by its creator. i really hold this game so close to my heart
I don't know if this counts for the entire game, but I love when CA adds content to the game. Not just for new stuff to discover, but because of how it always feels fresh and new. Like he isn't just copying from the modding community to make things official, he's coming up with this big ideas and giving unique things to them. Like Ginger Island is an obvious example, but the Mastery System in 1.6 is amazing. And I've seen some Mastery mods, sure, but none like what he did
3:22 I've been working on a mod that adds _even more_ of those custom dialogue lines for specific gifts. It's been an absolute blast. Easily my favorite part of the update too since it directly led to me picking up the proverbial pen.
I must add that not only the overall community, but specifically the content creators are top notch. I'm always in awe at how creative and passionate you folks are. So thank you for giving us not only entertainment, but also new perspectives on the game
Hi, Salmence! I am just commenting here because I want to let you know that your videos gave me newfound love for Stardew. Ever since I started watching you, I have found ways to make my gameplay more fun and you introduced me to mods! Thank you so much for doing what you do. I love unwinding from work while watching your videos. Cheers!
Whilst I love the themed catalogues, you best believe I'm looking for a mod that combines all of them into one furniture piece, with the new catalogues just being tabs along the top.
love love the context dialouge. i havent played that much but lewis and caroline saying that pierre was bitter over me winning the fair display the day after it just soooo fun!!
If you have a USB controller, the PC version is compatible with them! I personally use an Xbox controller, still does the haptics and everything. There are very minor issues (like you can’t access the side tabs in the furniture catalogue for some reason with controller), but otherwise works very well.
@@ellieetra8205 Yeah, I use a cheap third partly Xbox controller with a cord myself. Both fishing and combat gets a bit easier for me that way. It is just to plug it in a USB port and works without me doing anything else. a PS5 controller works equally fine (but my friend who use one had to set it up in windows so it is a tiny bit more work).
The thing I love about stardew is that there is no time limit. I'm on year 7 of my first playthrough and still haven't completed perfection and it doesn't look like it soon because I'm only at 32% 😂
I got mine the day before the winter star celebration year 6. I agree, you can pace the game just like you want (well, I did stress a bit on my new playthrough to get a dancepartner for the spring dance, no way I am spending year 1 in the sad corner with Clint this time too. Turned out it wasn't as hard as I thought when I don't have to learn how the game worked so I unlocked both Leah and Abigail without too much work.) Yeah, there are times when it can be stressful still, in my case mostly either in Skull cavern runs or when trying to get to Clint before he closes but that makes the rest of the game feel even more relaxed.
I don’t know I loved this so much. But maybe it’s because everyone could have a different favorite 10 things, and I just enjoy learning what other people like about probably any media I’m interested in. But I legitimately could hear like 50 more things you like about the game and be interested still
I absolutely love this game and this community. The general vibe is one of doing your best at your own pace. It's calming that the only person setting the expectations is yourself.
I think Stardew Valley is the ultimate comfort game not because of how relaxing it is (anyone inexperienced who is simultaneously checking 20 pages of the wiki to understand what to do will know that - I speak from personal experience on this) but because your progression ingame is literally a reflection of you, and because there's always a second chance no matter what mistakes you make. There's no rush to progress, no to do list constantly keeping you in the run unless you actively choose to add to it and take in responsibility. You can play and progress at your own pace. There's no game over system. Sure, you can die, you can lose money because of bad decisions of if you're like that one guy on the wiki who lost 200000 gold because Penny changed the wallpaper in the house and deleted all his calls of starfruit wine, but you can always recover. Even if you die, you wake up again and you always have another chance (god bless you Harvey, no amount of money is too much to pay when you literally bring me back from the dead). There's no bills, no pressure. The valley and the town never age. You can walk and talk and play for as long as you want, then step away satisfied knowing that there won't ever be a big deadline or pressure that you have to meet when you return - unless you voluntarily took up that deadline. It's the perfect formula for an addictive but ultimately peaceful and satisfying experience.
0:36 This will forever be an... interesting line to take out if context Sal, you question Erik about "jack be nimble, jack be thicc", I give you your "vibrations"
I believe there are 3 heart events that you can miss. Sam's 3 heart event in year 1 like you mentioned, but there's also Penny's 4 heart event if you complete the community center before triggering it, and Clint's 6 heart event if you've seen Emily's 8 heart event first.
I ABSOLUTLY love that you have a button to put everything already in the chest that is in your inventory, in the chest. And a button to organize them with a pretty good and logic way.
Sal, thank you so much for mentioning that waiting for the fish is not the most exciting part of the game. I've been watching your stuff for a while (as well as other SV youtubers), and everyone always gushes about how great and important fishing is, while I usually end up avoiding it because I find it more difficult than anything to just stare at a motionless screen waiting for a tiny movement. So to hear that you, as someone who makes content about this regularly, also kinda struggle with that - it really helped to validate me in that! It means a lot!
I just wanted to write this to appreciate your spring, summer, fall and winter guide(I started a week ago but your videos are 2 years old). Although it gave me a lot of stress and made me overwhelmed, it gave me a path to follow. I couldn't finish in year 1 but I did in year 2 just because of your guide. Also I can't forget to mention how well you explain things, I saw a lot of guides but they fail to explain it to the viewer in a way that everyone can understand. Overall you're a W TH-camr and you earned a subscription.
A few weeks ago I redownloaded SV on a whim to my Xbox and opened a save last touched six years ago in Fall year 1 that was way behind (all copper tools, no sprinklers, barely through the mines). Now in Fall Y2 I have tons of quality sprinklers, one rabbit foot away from finishing the CC, all gold tools, and a lot more money. Your guides helped a lot, and it’s way easier to enjoy the game’s vibes when you have a clue what you’re doing.
7:34 There's no reason to pontificate all day on why the Stardew community is pretty chill, because the answer is right there on the surface: it's not a PvP game.
Those games are always the worst. Full of people who are try hards and cheat and everything else. That's why I stay away from those types of games. Just not worth it to me
Can’t wait to see your perfection video whenever it comes out! Still waiting for 1.6 to hit Switch, in the meantime your videos for advice on what ways to make money are great to watch!
oh i absolutely love playing with a controller too!! and mainly yeah because there's a vibration feedback... whenever my horse runs through dirt, it's like a mini massager for my hand lmaoooo and i love the new dialogue as well!! they made the characters so much more endearing :>
I love your videos a lot and I appreciate the effort that you put into making them. I would really like to see a play through video where you’re going for perfection or any other goal you’d like
I love all the references to reading in this game. I love that you aren't forced to spend any time in a community if you chose not to. I love the hominess of Pelican Town. I also love the rainy days. I also love knowing when I start a day, I have so many activities to choose from each day. Some days I go to the water fountain in town or the bench by the cemetery and people watch. No judgment or penalty for doing that. Awesomeness.
Love this video. The part about the menus being easy to use is so real, it just makes it so much more accessible for people of all different levels of gaming skill or interest in gaming.
You are so right about the pause menu, I hadn’t analysed it but always loved the detail and tooltips. This is what makes the game so accessible, now all I want is an adjustable daylength and this game would be perfection.
I love the new dialogue! It makes me feel like I'm actually a part of the community when I hear Kent tell me (someone who marries Sam) he's happy his son his happy
I absolutely prefer a game controller to the mouse n keyboard, (mainly cause I started playing the game on Switch, and then got the computer-Steam vers when 1.6 came out cause I could not and would not wait for the switch update release lol). There's just something about the handheld controller that feels so much more seamless than the keyboard controls.... also, yea, the vibration is a huge bonus for fishing, especially since some of the bite sounds just blend into the rest of the game's background noise. You do not know how many times I've mistaken the natural sound of the water just blooping for my bite notification sound 😂😅
The "unmissable content" thing is actually something I'm a little mixed on - it's nice to know you can always get anything you missed later, but I also think there's something incredibly satisfying about making decisions that give you access to certain things while locking you out of other options, pushing yourself to achieve something in a certain manner that gives you a bonus, and so on. However, I don't think Stardew is not the right type of game for that, so the fact that there is so little content that can be permanently missed in Stardew specifically, is a big plus.
I enjoy the new specific fish bait, and how willy sells a random one daily. Often if someone wants a fish he has that kind of bait, but I think I've just been getting lucky.
Man, those lists complete me with my completions and are completely awesome! I wish more games had such an easy-to-read, all items included menu tab. Loved the video ❤
After the sadness I experienced when I made Legend bait, I didn't think to try Legend II bait. I'm currently on the extended family quest, so I want to give this a try!
I'm so stoked for the new fishing things because the farm i started for the 1.6 update is my first attempt at a perfection run and the legendary fish scare me I've only ever caught ONE on all my previous saves
I can't recommend the Trap Bobber enough! It's saved my bacon more times than I can count, and it gives you the time you need to catch up to the fish :)
If you've never tried them before get the Trap bobber. It's not 100% gonna get them for you but it does make it somewhat easier. It makes it so the bar goes down less when the fish isn't inside the space. Combine that with lv 10 fishing and it's way easier
the fact they can tell you someone likes or dislikes and that gets added to the socel thing, vincent year one told me jas hates mead, and there it was added to jas's socle thing under hates i did not even know mead was in the game till vincent told me
I will say that I wholeheartedly agree with the "community' comments. I can't think of another game that I can just say something I'd like to see added or ask a dumb question without fear of someone trying to argue or insult my lack of knowledge. It's very refreshing, not to mention rare.
This game makes me so happy. I like doing a bit of everything and being able to just tackle things at different speeds is so nice. I have a small group of friends that I love playing with because it's so wholesome to have us all running around going "I just saw your romance partner over there" with us all having unique playstyles. We are all joking about one player yearning for the mines, while I go hunting secrets, and another loves the animals. I'm their encyclopedia and can find them odd resources or help complete funny quests, and we're all just vibing in happiness. And while my fav hats so far are Wearable Dwarf Helm and Witches Hat, I have also found so many others, like the leprechaun hat (SO BEAUTIFUL) and lucked into a perfect arrow quiver trinket. I have found *one* other missable thing: *spoilers for a new event* Green rain year one *spoilers* Demetrius's hazmat suit, I have only seen it in the first year. I have also made sure everyone around me has seen it because it was so funny
I was usuallt more into puzzle games and I was very reluctant on playing this game, It was the best desicion, I absolutely adore how big the world of stardew valley is, the great community and the amazing creator, I felt so welcomed being a newbie, This game is just Fantastic.
since you mentioned it, legend II farming is INSANE i found that my go-to build was deluxe bait with a trap bobber and a quality bobber. with the angler and artisan professions and the new fish smokers plus tent kits to save time, i was able to catch twenty-five iridium quality legend II, which after smoking and skill bonuses rounds out to... 1.05 million gold. in three days.
My personal favorite fishing combo is just deluxe bait, lead weight, master enchantment, and then cork bobber or quality hook to taste. The lead weight has to be the most underrated fishing rod attachment imo. Everyone talks about how good the cork bobber is, but I've lost more legendary fish hooks due to not being able to get the bar to stop bouncing off the bottom when they dive down than to not being able to keep the bar on them when they're bouncing around.
1) I love your voice in these videos, it's like thanksgiving gravy and potatoes. Seriously smooth. 2) BWAHAHA you're in trouble hon, that's definitely not the ToTK pause menu! Good point though, that is a bad menu to use 3) Weenie Hut Jr! xD
Even the expansion mods are so immersive! Characters will comment if you chose CC vs Joja... They say hi/hello to each other more. They talk about recent events. The valley definitely feels alive.
This is one of the most chill videogames, and it's genuinely impressive it was built by just one guy. I'm still waiting for 1.6 to drop on console, since I play on PlayStation.
Minecraft is the best game I've ever played, but I personally have NEVER enjoyed a game as much as Stardew Valley. Thank you for dedicating so much of your time to talking about and teaching about my (and many others) favorite game.
Stardew is one of the best games I've experienced at being whatever kind of game you want it to be. It's not a sandbox open world but there is so much flexibility in how you approach game play.
I think there is one other permanently missable item, unless there was a way to get it in added in 1.6. The Boat painting was ONLY obtainable from fishing at a specific spot on the Beach farm. Its a shame because I usually romance Elliott, and I like to have the boat painting as like an "our first date" memory.
I've ignored this game for so long, until I've started recently and fell for it hard. Learning that these updates were recent makes me glad I started at 1.6
Though I played with mods for 1.6, I easily cruised through Fall of Year 2 in just a week and a half of playing, already 110 hrs in. The new stuff to optimize like dehydrators and fish smokers tacked on so much fresh air into making money. 2 years and 570 hours later and its by far the best 15 dollars I’ve ever spent.
Gonna be a pain in the butt with East Scarp, Ridgeside, and SVE, but if im feeling it I may try my hand at perfection. Honestly wouldnt mind starting a farm just for that.
It's worth mentioning that is not the pause menu for TOTK, that's the quick access menu 😂 The pause menu is more organised into categories and pages (for anyone who hasn't played it lol)
Beautiful. I'm in winter of year 7 since gaining a controller i can use with my PC. Even with all the fishing buffs i'm still putting that part off. I'll try the two cork bobbers ... LOL ...sometime soon.
I love SDV on controller. Especially with UI Infosuite 2, it's so convenient and yea i can zone out looking at the ocean and listening to the breeze while I fish.
Oof. Talking about the community just after I read an article about how trans streamers being harassed and doxxed... Lol. But yes, on the whole, the community is amazing. The Wiki is what amazes me the most. It's so jam-packed that it covers nearly everything about the game (minus some 1.6 stuff so far). You can tell that a lot of people are passionate about the game. And I'm also loving the new dialogue, too. I got the crimsonfish yesterday and saw Willy's new dialogue and smiled. All this new stuff is just making me more and more excited for Haunted Chocolatier. For anyone else, I'd pass up on the premise of the game, but I have confidence CA is going to do really well on it and probably knock it out of the park like he has with SDV.
I recently returned to the game after many years (the last time I played, I loaded the game up just long enough to check out that new "witch's hut" thing), and your content has been the absolute BEST for getting back into things without getting too spoiled on the major changes that happened not just in 1.6, but in 1.5. I really like how you structure most of your videos so that I skip the endgame spoilers. However, I wish you would explain more basic things (been watching your series where you break down each skill), since it's been long enough that I don't really know all the things that "everyone knows." The wiki is great, but if there's something I don't know about, I can't just look it up, because I don't even know it's a thing. For example: I kept hearing all these references to Ginger Island and how it's the best place for farming, but no one ever said WHY. Ginger Island didn't exist the last time I played, so it took me weeks of snippets of random videos to finally pick up on the fact that it's like the greenhouse in that you can grow any crop regardless of season. Anyway, thanks for making high quality content. And if you ever want to make a "guide for people who haven't played since the base game and whose information is out of date", there's probably an audience for that!
My favorite new dialogue refers to (spoilers) the green rain. Year one, everyone is panicking when this unknown substance starts falling from the sky, but when it happens again, everyone is super chill with it now that they know that it's not harmful.
I wish there was something like the catalogue in AC:NH. Not having to worry about what items are in Miles Redemption Service, Nook's Cranny, & Paradise Planner or how to afford the items would make decorating so much easier. Like yeah there's people with hacked islands or time warp glitches, but hacking in items but that isn't everyone's cup of tea. It's like I either have the choice of going to a treasure island, or waiting irl years for items.
Absolutely. Once I discovered Trap Bobber there was no going back for me... people complain about Glacierfish and honestly Trap Bobber is the solution 🤷♀️ I always get it first try now, it's fantastic
re: the new dialogue, i was playing through a new run in 1.6 and i talked to caroline with a bouquet in my inventory and she said “you’ll make her really happy with that.” at first i didn’t even know what she was talking about, but now i’m convinced she was talking about me giving the bouquet to abigail
Admittedly, there are things in 1.6 that I’m not a fan of, but I acknowledge that that’s a me problem. I will never deny the pure love and dedication that’s gone into the making of this game.
I personally also love the flexibility of the game. You can make up almost every sort of challenge run and actually complete it. I'm currently trying to complete the "lazy" run, where you community center and move to Ginger Island without using a single point of energy. It's so much fun.
Dude the new dialogue is EVERYTHING. The fact that during summer i had Lewis be like "Hey your melons are probably almost ripe now.
I've never had an experience like that in a game community before and it'll always stay with me ^^
Love this video! It's really cool to see everyone fall in love with the game all over again 🌸
I tend to rate game quality on a scale of Sims 4 to Stardew Valley for the exact reasons you’ve outlined here! 😅
And I've seen some Mastery mods, sure, but none like what he did
Penny's marriage decorations can now be bought from penny's stand during the desert festival which is awesome
It's called Happy Home Designer
@@debs_7163i don’t think that mod has combined all the themed catalogues yet!
@@debs_7163 ahh did that one finally get updated to include the new catalogues?? If so that’s very exciting as it was perfect before.
love love the context dialouge. i havent played that much but lewis and caroline saying that pierre was bitter over me winning the fair display the day after it just soooo fun!!
The haptic feedback from the controller was the biggest thing I missed when I started playing on PC after learning on Switch
I'm on year 7 of my first playthrough and still haven't completed perfection and it doesn't look like it soon because I'm only at 32% 😂
lmao same except i'm on year 11 and still at 47%
I got mine the day before the winter star celebration year 6. I agree, you can pace the game just like you want (well, I did stress a bit on my new playthrough to get a dancepartner for the spring dance, no way I am spending year 1 in the sad corner with Clint this time too. Turned out it wasn't as hard as I thought when I don't have to learn how the game worked so I unlocked both Leah and Abigail without too much work.)
Yeah, there are times when it can be stressful still, in my case mostly either in Skull cavern runs or when trying to get to Clint before he closes but that makes the rest of the game feel even more relaxed.
I don’t know I loved this so much. But maybe it’s because everyone could have a different favorite 10 things, and I just enjoy learning what other people like about probably any media I’m interested in. But I legitimately could hear like 50 more things you like about the game and be interested still
That was not the tears of the kingdom pause menu😭
It pauses the game, and it's a menu, so I counted it lol
@@salmence100 Ya I guess that works
yeah very misleading lmfao
@@salmence100 thats like saying the skyrim"s quick switch menu is a pause menu
@@simonsoupshark8009 It’s not the main pause menu, but it’s objectively a MENU that PAUSES the game: It’s a PAUSE MENU.
1.6 playthrough when?! I need something to watch while cleaning my house 😂
Current guess is three weeks out from now! That's the estimation I gave for the thumbnail artist at least lol
@salmence100 Thanks for the update :) looking forward to it
@@salmence100 ahhhh looking forward to it!
Same, lol. I'm currently watching Sharkygames play through! Can't wait to see Salmences 😁
0:36
This will forever be an... interesting line to take out if context
Sal, you question Erik about "jack be nimble, jack be thicc", I give you your "vibrations"
Longtime fan and this probably is my favorite video that you’ve ever done. I love our community so much!
oh i absolutely love playing with a controller too!! and mainly yeah because there's a vibration feedback... whenever my horse runs through dirt, it's like a mini massager for my hand lmaoooo and i love the new dialogue as well!! they made the characters so much more endearing :>
Awesomeness.
this one is so wholesome!! i love CA made it so personal and accessible all by himself! so excited for his new projects :D
Love this video. The part about the menus being easy to use is so real, it just makes it so much more accessible for people of all different levels of gaming skill or interest in gaming.
I always watch your videos when eating dinner and it makes me fell relaxed just like what the game does ❤
You are so right about the pause menu, I hadn’t analysed it but always loved the detail and tooltips. This is what makes the game so accessible, now all I want is an adjustable daylength and this game would be perfection.
I really love that I can do as little - or as much - as I want.
Its 1am for me so glad i stayed up. Im glad you still find so much to enjoy in this game. Keep it up.
Make sure you get to bed before it hits 2am and you pass out
The "unmissable content" thing is actually something I'm a little mixed on - it's nice to know you can always get anything you missed later, but I also think there's something incredibly satisfying about making decisions that give you access to certain things while locking you out of other options, pushing yourself to achieve something in a certain manner that gives you a bonus, and so on.
Oh dear... I'm so sorry for your loss 💀 good luck on extended family, you can make up for it easy :)
I agree with all of this, except that is NOT the Tears of the Kingdom pause menu. That is the ToTK fuse menu
I'm so stoked for the new fishing things because the farm i started for the 1.6 update is my first attempt at a perfection run and the legendary fish scare me
I've only ever caught ONE on all my previous saves
I can't recommend the Trap Bobber enough! It's saved my bacon more times than I can count, and it gives you the time you need to catch up to the fish :)
If you've never tried them before get the Trap bobber. It's not 100% gonna get them for you but it does make it somewhat easier. It makes it so the bar goes down less when the fish isn't inside the space. Combine that with lv 10 fishing and it's way easier
the fact they can tell you someone likes or dislikes and that gets added to the socel thing, vincent year one told me jas hates mead, and there it was added to jas's socle thing under hates i did not even know mead was in the game till vincent told me
#10 is great. I loved the game my first play through, and didn’t even unlock the cc until year 3 LOL.
I will say that I wholeheartedly agree with the "community' comments. I can't think of another game that I can just say something I'd like to see added or ask a dumb question without fear of someone trying to argue or insult my lack of knowledge. It's very refreshing, not to mention rare.
Woo you know it's a good day when a Sal video comes out!
That's not the pause menu for TOTK. That's the item quickselect menu. The pause menu is the one you get by pressing +, and it's perfectly readable.
I am literally in tears for this video and it's comments. So beautiful, I love this community so much 😭💜💚❤
This game makes me so happy.
I have found *one* other missable thing: *spoilers for a new event*
Green rain year one
*spoilers*
Demetrius's hazmat suit, I have only seen it in the first year. I have also made sure everyone around me has seen it because it was so funny
I was usuallt more into puzzle games and I was very reluctant on playing this game, It was the best desicion, I absolutely adore how big the world of stardew valley is, the great community and the amazing creator, I felt so welcomed being a newbie, This game is just Fantastic.
since you mentioned it, legend II farming is INSANE
i found that my go-to build was deluxe bait with a trap bobber and a quality bobber. with the angler and artisan professions and the new fish smokers plus tent kits to save time, i was able to catch twenty-five iridium quality legend II, which after smoking and skill bonuses rounds out to... 1.05 million gold. in three days.
I always love watching salamance. His vibes are so chill and genuine, idk it warms my heart
Thoroughly enjoyed the video and I really agree on so many of your points!
1) I love your voice in these videos, it's like thanksgiving gravy and potatoes. Seriously smooth.
2) BWAHAHA you're in trouble hon, that's definitely not the ToTK pause menu! Good point though, that is a bad menu to use
3) Weenie Hut Jr! xD
Even the expansion mods are so immersive! Characters will comment if you chose CC vs Joja... They say hi/hello to each other more. They talk about recent events. The valley definitely feels alive.
I enjoyed this video alot, this bit of positivity is what i needed today. Thanks :)
I can't wait to see the new 1.6 perfection run from you!
but that isn’t the TOTk pause menu tho… the pause menu is where you see all your weapons and food and armour…
Learning that these updates were recent makes me glad I started at 1.6
This was so good! Totally agree with everything. Thanks!
It's worth mentioning that is not the pause menu for TOTK, that's the quick access menu 😂
The pause menu is more organised into categories and pages
(for anyone who hasn't played it lol)
Beautiful. I'm in winter of year 7 since gaining a controller i can use with my PC. Even with all the fishing buffs i'm still putting that part off. I'll try the two cork bobbers ... LOL ...sometime soon.
Such a good game. Thanks for the great content!
Yay. Waiting for the perfection video :)
I really can’t wait for 1.6 to come to console! I’m so excited for the new dialogue and all the new features ❤️❤️
And if you ever want to make a "guide for people who haven't played since the base game and whose information is out of date", there's probably an audience for that!
this was genuinely nice to watch :)
I cant wait for this update on switch. Patiently, Impatiently waiting.
6:53 Making that song from the mine cart in the bus stop to the entrance of the farmhouse would lead to 75% less passing out just outside the door.
My favorite new dialogue refers to (spoilers) the green rain. Year one, everyone is panicking when this unknown substance starts falling from the sky, but when it happens again, everyone is super chill with it now that they know that it's not harmful.
Eyyy fiberous farm mention! Always a delight
They did add something like the catalogue, but only for the happy home designer DLC

Absolutely. Once I discovered Trap Bobber there was no going back for me... people complain about Glacierfish and honestly Trap Bobber is the solution 🤷♀️ I always get it first try now, it's fantastic
Appreciated your thoughts!
Honestly love how Concernedape just keeps in certain glitches. Are some of them game breaking, absolutely, but he keeps them in cause they’re fun
Concerned Ape is like the Mister Rogers of game devs. SV being his neighborhood.
Love you videos Sal! When are you realeasing a 1.6 playthrough or a modded episode?
re: the new dialogue, i was playing through a new run in 1.6 and i talked to caroline with a bouquet in my inventory and she said “you’ll make her really happy with that.” at first i didn’t even know what she was talking about, but now i’m convinced she was talking about me giving the bouquet to abigail
Exactly, thank you for this video
IDK if it would be to much but i would love to see full on redos of the 100 days no farming imperfection and skill guide videos in 1.6
Admittedly, there are things in 1.6 that I’m not a fan of, but I acknowledge that that’s a me problem.
I love your videos so much. Thanks man
