- I've given a lot of tips for beginners, so now let's lean near the end of the game! These are tips focused on obtaining perfection, and side content to help you stay sane during the money grind!

important thing to not lose your kegs/machines! emily does in fact walk through the desert once a year for sandy's birthday, so check the pathing for that and place accordingly

I have a tip: When you get solar panels unlocked the best place to put them is the desert because it NEVER rains there! 💜

Even if it did work you'd have to be careful on Sandy's birthday cause Emily and sandy walk around the desert that day and could destroy them
Extra tip for the Beach Resort! If you're aiming for true perfection, I would hold off closing the resort immediately. Yes it makes it easier to find shop owners in Pelican Town, but you need Gus to visit at least once so that you can buy one of the cooking recipes from him, which is needed for that sweet sweet 100%. After that feel free to close or open as you wish! :)
8:15 the Qi beans disappear after the quest is over so you can't save them for the next time, unless you sell them to Pierre (I think I read this from somewhere so not 100% sure)

they stayed for me when i kept them in my junimo chest
@@salmence100 it was the case in the first release of 1.5, beans didn't disappear, so maybe that's why
@@salmence100 If you sell them to Pierre (before the quest is over), you can rebuy them after the quest is over and THOSE will stay! I sell any extra the last day of the quest and try to remember to buy them the next day (as the number left diminishes every day. I guess the townsfolk like Qi beans).
Last time I tried this strategy, Pierre did not have them for me for buyback. I am not sure if it was already patched out.
This is just for aesthetics, but if you plant something on your Junimo hut, but block the access to them to pick up - they just wander the area.. so it's like having fairies wandering through the woods (in my case I make a small mushroom tree farm and put grass)

Been playing Stardew since 2017, and I've got over 500 hours in it...
...and always learning something new from Stardew TH-camrs. This might actually get me to play the lategame without immediately starting a new run as soon as the steamroller effect kicks in at the community center grand opening.

I've only been playing for three months and I already have 100+ hours...
I have a shed that does have a decent amount of kegs and preserve jars in it, but instead of filling it up all the way, I put in a fish tank at the top with the woodskip, ghostfish, dorado, and slime jack in it. plus some foresty decor around the place for aesthetic. It's my favorite part of my farm on my current save.
For Clint's 25 ores on the regular request board, you can just buy them off him. Saves you a trip to the mines if you've got the money.

for tip 25: the "look up anything" mod gives you what is essentially an in-game wiki. Hover over any item/npc/crop/animal etc and click L (or whatever key you map it to) and it will bring up a window with all of the essential information, including all likes/dislikes of an npc and all missions/achievements an item is needed for. It will even work on items in the menus (if you want to see what fish you are missing, for example) I basically can't play the game without it now lol

Yeah, that mod is a lifesaver.
Lookup anything is one of my favorite mods. And combined with UI info suite it's so helpful.
One late game tip I can recommend is to buy the Gold clock last. Save it till you're ready for your final spring cleaning. Having natural grass and trees around can be a source of inspiration for decorating your farm.
You CAN get qi beans from cutting fiber but ONLY on ginger island, it doesn’t work in the valley (speaking from experience)
The tunnel counts as indoor, so you can use pots to set up a cactus farm in it.
As someone who finally got perfection and all the steam achievements last year, QoL mods are a blessing. I don't care if some people might think that it "lessens" the accomplishment, I could've just as easily played vanilla and abused various bugs and glitches to do it all in a fraction of the time (both ingame and irl), but that'd be way less fun than actually playing the game.
I feel you, so many people write off the tractor as being too powerful, but if you’ve already experienced the vanilla game I feel like anything to save time is allowed
@@salmence100 Personally I swear by the automate mod. Not only does it save time for machines you're definitely using, but it also makes machines you normally don't use more viable. For example, bee houses placed in a spot you rarely visit just give you a little extra passive income that you normally wouldn't bother with
@@moralle4090 pair it with Deluxe Autograbber, you’ll never be short of wood again as you can set it to get the stumps in the secret woods.
There's another golden walnut that you might be missing but not get a clue for. The one just north of the farm, where there's a hidden path into the trees. Took me forever to figure out why I was short one walnut, not getting hints, but had the banana, darts, and bird shrine walnuts already.

A great way to farm batteries is by crafting hella solar panels and plopping them in the desert! There’s a big spot behind the trader where Emily and sandy don’t walk that you can place a bunch down and forget about them for a week. Since it is literally ALWAYS sunny in the desert, you get maximum efficiency from the solar panels.
Personally, I like to check them every Thursday when I go to the desert to trade prismatic shards for magic rock candy
Also I’ve noticed that sometimes (possibly when the seasons change, not sure) my solar panels desync and require 8 days to charge instead of 7, so keep that in mind but it’s a pretty minor bug
My island beach remains closed and the villagers can all thank Pam for ditching work on a Thursday preventing me from buying rock candy.
You can also screenshot the entire valley to find forage items, it´s not only just the farm.
You can put grass EVERYWHERE, even in your house or in the barns/coops. 🍀
Extra note: sea urchins can wear hats!

5:31 i did this last night!! i was playing with my friend and she left to sleep so i thought "since its winter let me redecorate EVERYTHING!!" it worked out so well omg the "hangout shed" looks so good imo
I presonally use "Look up anything" mod, it has no game balance changes at all and shows lots of info showing one pop-up page about items and persons by pressing F1 key with cursor on ANYTHING. Hidden achivements items included. Just like wiki, but better.
Seriously, this is also one of my most favorite mods to use. It just makes things a lot easier.
As someone who didn't use the wiki for the longest time, my most recent play through I've enjoyed far more. Maybe it's because I've grown older and my taste in games have changed, but it could be that I've let myself play the game how I wanted too.

For weapons, I have a Galaxy sword with vampiric for running skull caverns, and another sword with haymaker for farming hay and fiber! It's always nice to have multiple weapons

You can get Qi Beans from cutting weeds, but only in the mines (not sure about skull caverns, didnt try). Just recently got the quest, and got a few beans while swinging my sword around in the mines to remove weeds that are in the way.

For Tip number 22, Leo also like every movie. He just only love some so if you invite him when he has 6 hearts, it’s a good way to gain more friendship instead of giving away your duck feathers.
i learned how to easily pull the fish out of my ponds from you and I use that info. SO MUCH now! I am trying to complete all recipes but if I've only kept one of that kind of fish I'll pop it in the pond and do other things until it's reproduced if I don't feel like looking up when and where to fish it. Also, if my other fish want a fish-type that I only have one of, I'll put that fish in the pond until there are enough to feed to the other fish and for me to keep at least one. Very helpful!

Something I learned is that other crops cam be more useful outside of money.
Example, you can grow hops and turn them into Pale Ale, but you can also save them for food to heal yourself and restore a decent amount of energy. Similar to Salmon Berries and Black Berries.
A gemstone that can get overlooked is Amethyst. While putting Diamonds or Jade is usually the best bet for Fairy Dust and Staircases from the Derest Trader, Amethyst is a pretty popular gift for several villagers, those being Dwarf, Emily, Clint and Abigail. More so you can put them in the Crystalarium and get a new Amethyst once every day, so you can have a loved gift prepared daily for certain villagers.
So yeah, not everything should be about money, find different uses for certain items and you would be surprised at what can help you, especially in early game.

Here's a tip:- When Haunted Chocolatier releases go in blind, try not to look up the secrets/exploits online, this will significantly amplify your experience playing the game.
Also here's something that I found the other day, if you visit the pirate cove wearing a pirate hat you'll get a free mead, you'll get one everytime you visit.

Always go for Generous. You can get those specific fossils on Ginger with the reload trick. Check the spots that spawn and if you don’t get your vertebrae, reload the day and try them the next day. Fastest way to grab them and generous will sometimes net you two in one go!

@@Jkizzle4996 Dig up the artifact spots. If you don’t get the fossil you want, reload the day. Don’t touch the spots. The NEXT day, dig them again for another chance at the fossil. If you don’t get the fossil, rinse and repeat. Spots have a small chance of disappearing day to day, but reloading once each morning is MUCH faster then trying your luck over the long term.
I'm a casual SV player, but I'll still use the wiki to find info when needed, and I mostly watch these to learn some interesting stuff about the game.
In single player use cabins and upgrade them instead of sheds for giant storage rooms
There's definitely some stuff here I didn't know as a long time player!
I respect people who don't want to use the wiki for whatever reason but man I just wouldn't be having fun without it.

For the emote tip (number 17 at 6:30), I think blush is one of the hidden ones instead of uh (I'm not 100% sure though).
I spent a lot of time looking for all of the rare hats and shoes. The only hat I haven't found yet is the one you get from the wilderness golems... the tiger hat is so cute 🥰

Wondering, has anyone tried setting up Ginger Island for Fairy Rose Honey? 952 gold every 4 days should easily out perform Starfruit and Ancient Fruit wine. I'm going to set it up to see.

Another thing that I wonder if you would be interested in doing is a no fishing challenge. Most of the challenges I see immediately start off by fishing to make up for whatever handicap has been chosen. It would be a change of pace to see something else for once.

rainbow trouts can give you prismatic shards. i think it was either 1 or .1% chance tho

i just use two weapon. one(sword since its faster) with haymaker for farming fiber. and i go with Crusader for my main weapon to farm cloth from mummy in the skull cavern.
The automate mod is an absolute nicety. No, not necessary but very, very nice in case you forget to check your machines
I learned the hard way on my last play through that Qi beans do not carry over nor do they keep the spots hoed when the season changes 🙃
That green doll artifact fell in the water of the secret note digging spot for me and it’s the last thing I need for the museum 😭 I haven’t found it since
This is just something that nobody noticed but for the claw machine tip I'm pretty sure I was number 11 it said that if you're not having any luck then you can get a dinosaur egg from behind the bush but in order to unlock the movie theater you have to have dinosaur mayonnaise😂

So glad I was able to get the pc game. Got a lot of dialogue mods cos I've been tired of hearing the same dialogue from all the npcs.

I figured how to close the beach resort by regularly playing, but i never knew you had to open it again. I thought it only closed for the next day.
For weapons in the late game, most of the time I'm just using an infinity gavel with vampiric. The damage and CC of the exploit with the hanmer special is way too good, and with vampiric I rarely need to heal, even in the dangerous mines. I have two more infinity gavels I only bring with me to skull cavern, one with crusader and one with bug killer, purely for dealing with mummies and armored bugs.
Darn, I'll have to wait to watch this until I'm done with work today! Curse myself for not checking until 5 minutes before being busy!! D:

Another 3 walnuts that the parrot wont give you a hint for is the last 3 from Professor Snail. I was missing the last snake vertebra for like an ENTIRE in game year, finally realized it was the snake vertebra, resorted to harvesting ALL of the ginger island farm, giving it a week to un-till everything and then wnet and tilled everything again for the last snake vertebra.
My son just worked out you can water the cat / dog bowl. He's Ben playing for a couple of hours. 200 on switch and 80 odd on PS5. Missed that.
If you ever find something that's not on the wiki and you use it in a video, someone will go out and add it to the wiki, that's why wikis are great
i have over 600 hours in this game and had no idea the hats came from achievements. neat!
I want to consume Stardew valley content but I might get spoiled for stuff I haven't seen and discovering things on your own might be the best thing in the entire game. Sometimes I do use the wiki but that's only for stuff I find boring, like not knowing where to fish X fish or what I'm doing wrong with the secret's notes instructions. I saw a video about dinosaurs and just that day I found dinosaurs for the first time and it didn't feel the same : (.
I got Qi beans after cutting grass on Ginger island in the East (below Leo’s hut), so not entirely wrong
Huh, I wonder if it’s grass on Ginger Island specifically? In my original testing, I cut 200 fiber and a whole field of grass with no beans
@@salmence100 It's weeds, not grass. Grass is the stuff that gives you hay, weeds are the solid things. In the video the wiki page does say "grass", but that error has apparently been fixed since November 2022, and it does correctly say "weeds" now.

The only wrong way to play is not having fun~
Tip: The level 10 foraging perk that guarantees iridium quality forageables is excellent for gift-giving purposes. You can get iridium quality coconuts for Linus and Haley, cactus fruits for Sam, leeks for George, horseradish for Krobus, daffodils/sweet peas/crocuses for Sandy, and grapes for Vincent. You can also occasionally get iridium quality tree fruits from the bat cave: oranges for Gus, peaches for Robin, and pomegranates for Elliott.
Gold-star goat cheese is a good default gift for most villagers, in case you can’t find any loved gifts for them that week.
High-quality rabbits feet are great to save as birthday gifts for people that are difficult to find high-quality loved items for (Alex, Pierre, Dwarf, etc.)
When I tried to keep my Qi beans, they disappeared after the quest was over. Either I misplaced them or they got deleted after the quest?

I cutting fiber near the Leo's house, it actually drop Qi Bean for me. You can try your self and test
If you are having trouble getting stuff like dino eggs or dwarf scrolls, spend time hunting dust sprites. The prize for beating a lot of those is amazingly useful.
