I recently finished my homemade version of the sonovox. Just two bulk 20w transducers jammed into old headphones powered by a 90s computer stereo amplifier. Not very pro looking, but lots of fun!
lol yes! We think it should be easier for people to experiment with this, so we're going through a ton of design changes to hone in on something really good, but it will be simple enough that we can make it opensource and 3d-printable. In the old days, it looked like they were literally just using two "tweeter" speakers pressed against the throat.
@@marblesandsoda I think you'd want a stereo amplifier so you can have channels on both sides of your throat, but yes, anything you can power a transducer will work.
Hi, any chance you can share the way you did this, I'm keen to make one but don't know where to start e.g. what parts I need and where from etc. Thank you
@@playitcoolmusic Some broken monoprice headphones, mounted dayton audio transducers inside, powered with a modified 90s apple speaker amp. You don't have to do the headphone mount if you just hold the transducers and have them wired securely, but I prefered it.

Would you just need an amplifier like something you'd use for an acoustic guitar

Is this still in the works?
Not anymore, since God has led us in a different direction for ministry. We will likely be sharing other projects in the future.
yeah, just talk the whole time and don't actually show its operation. great
lol sry. It ended up not sounding the greatest and I was running out of funds, so I turned my attention to other projects.
