It's totally a platform under the water. The kayaks passing behind him threw me off, but they are flat and smooth on the bottom and don't dip into the water much. Would easily pass over a platform 6 inches deep(give or take).

There is no such thing as an assault weapon. Guns shoot bullets. Just because you paint a gun black doesnt make it an "Assault Weapon" and a beige gun a hunting riffle.
