Astrovlog #17 - Equinoy 2024 January

Finally, at the beginning of January of the new year, there were two nights without a moon or clouds. We start with M57, the Ring Nebula. A beautiful object. The silver galaxy, NGC 891, follows in a beautiful edge position. Now another fog. M97, the Owl Nebula, slightly faint. The next galaxy is NGC 2683. Because of its appearance, it is called the UFO galaxy. The first galaxy of the 2nd evening is the Fireworks Galaxy, NGC 6946. Now follows NGC 3079, which has no special name, although it looks beautiful. With M76 we now see the Small Dumbbell Nebula here. Finally Jupiter again. Equinox can now accommodate planets. Finally, a big galaxy. M81, Bode's galaxy.
