Dear Peter! Wexford Town is once again a bucket list place to visit. The colorful and specially decorated buildings invite you to take a walk. The port, the angry colored sea and the sheep-clouded sky offer an impressive sight. Thanks for the walk.
Always love your tours of Ireland! Looks like a beautiful and sunny day to explore these lovely city streets. I love the buildings and seeing the pubs and shops. Would love to visit someday! Thanks for taking us along 😊
Hello, Peter! An amazing walk discovering this lovely town!Didn't know it. Always so very happy to know more and more! Looks a very charming town! Nice Sunday and see you soon, my friend! Renata
Hi Peter Are you familiar with this town Wexford? Cozy and charming little town comparing to Dublin, I may say. This gentleman came out of this tunnel that seems have a low height clearance and I wonder what is this tunnel really for? 21:29 did you feel intimidated by the height of tunnel? Is fishing primary economic activity, whether commercial or recreational in Wexford?? 24:20 Peaceful and quiet walk. Did you see Vikings' descendants? Thank you so much for your time and energy researching the history of Wexford. JFK's visit is very fascinating. I didn't see seagulls though. Thank YOU, Peter.
Hi Ms.Kayak7seas 👋 I don't know Wexford as well as Dublin but it's a really colourful town. The little laneways are interesting, I think they have access from the town to the harbour. Fishing is important here along with tourism. Thanks so much for watching.
@@walkingwithpeter My Pleasure, Peter. So sorry my belated comment. I keep watching it over and over again. So charming. The US is having a long weekend with Memorial Day on Monday. I have to look for some more adventures PPL keep asking and I have nothing to show in my hands BC my external hard drive failed. No luck for recovering the files. Apologies if I miss LSs.Ciao Happy Friday. Have some pints.
That lane dates back to Viking times. Keyser’s Lane is so old that publications were speculating about its origins back in the 16th century. That name appears in several town that were founded by the Vikings. They all lead down to quayside or river.
Nice one! Great walk! Wexford is a charming and colourful town. Seems to offer everything one needs. Is there any industry in or around Wexford? How do the people earn their living?
Hi Petra. Glad you liked Wexford. Tourism is really big in Wexford, lots of people travel down from Dublin at the weekends and many have mobile homes and summer houses there.
