@@Cristake1974 I know the man, I went to visit his birthplace in Scornicești in 2016 on my way to Turnu Severin. He was a shoe maker, but in 1989 "gli hanno fatto le scarpe", to use an Italian figure of speech, and "è rimasto con le scarpe al sole" in Tirgoviste (that's another Italian military slang expression dating back to WW1, there is only one very unpleasant situation when one's shoe soles are exposed to the sun).
