  • Welcome to my watercolor sketching experience!
In this video, we’re diving into the freeing and creative process of sketching a blooming magnolia tree using a limited palette of just four colors.
Together, we’ll explore how loose sketching can unlock your creativity and help you connect with the beauty around you. I’ll guide you through every step, from setting up your workspace to mixing colors and capturing the essence of this beautiful magnolia tree.
This sketch is all about embracing imperfection, letting go of expectations, and finding joy in the process. I hope this inspires you to take a moment to notice the world around you and start sketching your surroundings.

@@Glo-6382Thank you, Gloria, for stopping by and writing to me 🥰 I remember when I first started painting; at the beginning, I was simply playing with watercolors - a lot. Even after all these years, they never stop surprising me, and I hope they bring you joy as well. I will definitely post more sketches like this one for you to enjoy 🌸

Your sketch is a little gem and I love the colors! I also enjoyed seeing how you painted the flowers and buds. I think loose sketches can oftentimes catch that “extra something” that is hard to replicate in a more detailed and careful painting. It’s nice to see sketches and more finished paintings, but this was definitely a good video. Thanks! ❤

Hello, Darci ❤ Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on this piece and for your kind words! Loose sketches often help me translate my ideas onto paper, and I only choose a few to develop into larger paintings. I might revisit this work later to refine the flowers and the house. If I do, I’ll be sure to post a photo for you under the ‘Post’ tab on my page 😊 Wishing you a wonderful weekend, Darci! ✨

I really loved hearing your suggestions and that everything doesn't have to be perfect. I do like seeing the sketches to see how you go about painting and drawing. maybe take a sketch talk about it and then do a finished painting next video with that sketch!! Thank you for your time!! :0)

Thank you so much for your kind words and sharing your thoughts! I really appreciate your feedback! I love the idea of taking a sketch, discussing it, and then turning it into a finished painting in a video! That sounds like a fun project. I’ll definitely keep this in mind for future content. Thank you again for taking the time to share your ideas! 🥰
