Sadly many talented bands died in the early/mid 80's as we weren't connected in those days & we relied on a music press that were already deeply in love with Iron Maiden so other bands more deserving never got the positive reviews & promotion they deserved. Due to this I find UK metal fans are still hooked on 'what they already know' wereas covid lockdowns gave me time to be amazed at whats the world has to offer in tge way of bands like Epica, Nightwish, Unleash The Archers, Gloryhammer etc but its still fun to dip into the archives ocasionaly 😊
