👁 One of the things that htis me the hardest about this song, beside the thought provoking lyrics that you want to listen and understand, is layered audio/lyrics, it gives the song a depth that really makes me want to listen on repeat and just keep listening to the sick beats. 👁 It makes me think about how there's so much pointless hate that I feel can easily go if people listened and respected each other more. It's quite sad that we are hurting ourselves and our planet. In some movies aliens and monsters are fearsome, but I'm pretty sure humans are a lot scarier. We don't need an enemy to defeat humanity because for some reason humans find it justifiable to hurt others for selfish reasons, we're basically destroying ourselves. One thing I love about 8 Graves music is the fact that there are multiple ways to interpret what their lyrics mean. Of course they had their own meaning in mind when they wrote the lyrics, but being able to interpret them into something that you can personally relate to, whether it was their initial intention or not, is super cool to me. I love lines like “When the wolves wear the wool, where do you run?” and “Tripping over skeletons I wish you would’ve left them inside” because there’s so many ways you could think about them. Allowing the listener to personally express themselves by relating to these amazing lyrics in their own way is great. Everyone has their own struggles, and being able to translate lyrics inspired by one’s own experiences and applying them to your own experiences makes people feel so much more connected to music like this, and I think that’s beautiful.

This is just so cool to read. I feel like when we first started making songs for 8 Graves, that I was writing things that were a little too literal. As I tried to shy away from that and be a little more figurative and cryptic, I was afraid that people would feel like I wasn't making sense. Hearing that people enjoy that subjectivity is a true relief for me, so thank you so much for sharing this. It really means a lot!
