      Why not? Ive noticed with you it dont matter if its 2 bucks or 150k, you think it out properly. And idk, maybe the high rollers would be kinda, possibly be better players overall? And theyd be more educated and disciplined? ( some of um at least)

    • @LexVeldhuisTV
      @LexVeldhuisTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@idahogreen2885 I mean players are better for sure so it's good content haha. But it's much much harder. It's a huge misconception that because people are more disciplined and solid that it's easier to play. If the $1 buyin people played $1k's I'd be bill gates.

    This format is one of the best poker content ever created for TH-cam. Would be amazing if u could show some ranges too so players with less knowledge could follow you better but i understand I'm asking a bit too much. Anyway I love it. Good job Lex

    • @LexVeldhuisTV
      @LexVeldhuisTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      It's actually the ranges that confuse people. We did a test run of this format and I showed people who know poker but dont know solvers, and they got completely lost when we showed solves. So I think doing it without is a b it better..

    • @wansjams
      @wansjams 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    For opening 40bbs deep I think "BS" or "button stuff" is opening from the button. The B kind of looks like an 8 and the S kind of looks like a 5. So offsuit 8's suited 5's from the button. Then you just step ladder the range upward as you get in earlier positions. So Cutoff is offsuit 9's suited 6's. Hijack is offsuit 10's suited 7's and so on.

    Why is Aq bottom of their 2 thirds pots value betting range on flop if A4s has to call it on flop and turn? If a4s calls, i assume better kickers call as well and there seems to be a lot of value there we then miss by betting smaller.

    Could the higher flop sizing be driven by the fact that bounties are involved? Seems that with that sizing you geometrically get to play for stacks

    Hi Lex. Been a fan since the big game. Loving this series as well as the learn with Lex one. I am trying to improve my play and this is helping me so much. I was wondering why the bluffs came from mainly suited 6 to 9s. I understand bluffing with Broadway and j9, q9 etc. But why suited 6 and 7s? Are those a6 a7 or suited connectors? Really loving the series, I think you explain things very well, both simple and complicated concepts. Thank you and happy new year to your family.

    I love these videos Lex. Could I note that there is a big difference in high stake to low stake in having difference in kickers because most low stake players don't know how to bluff proper or don't bluff lots period that being said it's even hard to bluff in low stakes as well. Could you play lower stake and see if you can get into some same situation.

    • @terryhampshire4378

    and if you think about it most bluffs come from the player who bets first no matter the position he´s in, therefore comitting himself to a pot which without a bluff he has very small chances of winning if hero calls which you did, and AJ doesnt seem reasonable because not only he has top pair and good kicker the J also blocks the combinations of 10x and future straight draws villain could potencially get on future streets, and a big stack after cbetting preflop and getting a check from both sb and bb on the flop hes going to bet very often with air or weak pairs, if he was value betting the only thing he couldve put you on the flop would have to be an ace, i feel like he couldve had J10 suited or one heart making the flush draw bluff a possibility.

    I don't think that KJhh would be that much horrible bluff. I mean sure, this is highroller tournament, so villain is supposed to know that KJhh can still win at the showdown at some portion of a time. Also he would block shitloads of his opponents bluffs/check back holdings which is not good.
    However, on the other hand by checking OTF you kind of capped yourself significantly. As was said in the beginning - your open from CO means, you can quite easily have top two. So unless you decided to slowplay Q9s, you are really capped. So I would say if the villain would overbet the River for like 120-150% I think that may lead into folding 9x.
    What do you think? Or what does your coach think?
    Edit: Uhm, I'm sorry, my way of thinking comes from cash games, not tournaments. So that might create certain collision.

    • @pippofranco879
      @pippofranco879 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      being capped doesn't mean we can't hero down middle pair, so you still need to pick your bluffs carefully
