Well, to simply put it in. That is infact a sunray tower. I theorize that the Sunray channeler was fighting againts the seer armies until they got petrified. as the sky engulfs in the seer corrupted the crystal became red due to the corruption influence over the land

the new towers is exactly like the sun tower from kdr 1, its just that its "old and corrupted" so its a mix of both the eldritch channeler and the blazing gem, it also looks like a special tower and is only accessible in that 1 map, so its kinda a mix of both
