I love the mood setting music of the first couple seasons. It had the orchestra sound setting the tone like an old adventure serial but then the synth for that alien robot feeling. Music that I still recall in my mind when I'm doing random things that I think enriches my life over the years.
*This is SOOOOO GOOD!!* I'm back in my 80's cartoon universe (with the REAL TRANSFORMERS that I remembered growing up with) where everything was cool and things made perfect sense to me. *THANK YOU FOR THIS!!*
@@langletprolet8378 I think he might be talking in terms of ethics and morals, seemed more black and white, do good things and not bad. Simple, naive perhaps, but sometimes nice for escapism or if you want to feel good or need motivation or encouragement.

Bringing back all those g1 shows. Now that I'm older I want a real transformer. Trying to convince my young daughter to be a robotics engineer and later on build me one. Looking forward to that!
If I had no knowledge of the Transformers or the G1 cartoon, I would think most of Side A and all of Side B up until 10:46 was the score to a Western film. Nothing about it screams "giant robots who turn into cars fighting each other with pew pew laser guns." But it does have a timeless quality to it :)
Hearing a clear version of mad world after all these years is a trip! Loved that theme when they were powering cybertron back to life using the sun. Series 3 soundtrack, underrated.

It's kinda unsettling how pastoral tranquility was used for when Optimus and Galvatron made peace. But it was also used when Duke died...er I mean, was put in a coma.😗
Any info on how this was put together? Asking because I have a non-professional suspicion that the Season 1 and 2 music is in "artificial" stereo, which I would understand if there were any liner notes explaining that. My preference would be to leave it alone, but at least one could mix it back to mono if that was the case here. Season 3 stuff seems authentic.
I thought the originals for these fantastic tracks where destoryed. Anyone know the story about how they managed to find these tracks in this quality? Is there more tracks? I would love more tracks from season 3 with it's heavy synth rock sound.
Composer Rob Walsh has been saying he had the original music for years. He died recently, but he must have given Hasbro the tracks first or his estate was able to.
