This video covers the basics of creating LFO Based Leads that have taken the dance music world by storm. These leads all have one thing in common, LFO modulations develop changes to the information as the music producer plays a melody or holds onto 1 note. For this tutorial, we will use Serum to utilize its visual workflow and teach you the theory behind creating some insane leads. For this tutorial, I took inspiration from artists like Deadmau5, Adam K, Anyma, Layton Giordani, Space 92, Afterlife, Lane 8, and many more.
The only difference from every lead is how you execute the design and the LFO Parameters.

Hey man! I’m glad your videos keep popping up on my page because I’m a hip hop vocal engineer and producer but I recently started DJing in my hometown of Austin TX and my vision is to produce my own house/dance music tracks and start showcasing them in the clubs in my city. I throw parties and events all the time and have taken quickly to DJing due to my production background, but the missing piece from my vision is sound design. Your videos are always so easy to understand and teach me how to produce the exact sounds I’m trying to manifest! I bought serum forever ago just because I thought I should have it in my bag, and I can almost guarantee you’ll be the reason I reach that next step in learning how to use it and other wavetable synths. I know I’ll get where I want and I just want to thank you for your part in making it happen in advance. Much love from Austin TX man. Subscribed, bout to start going through your videos more purposefully ❤

Is it possible to swing LFOs? I often find that my LFO leads are too straight for a swung beat. My work around is bounce to audio, quantise, then use abletons groove feature

quick question - when you're modulating the LFO RATE it changes by Hz instead of bpm, how do you make it effectively match a rhythm without sounding out of time?
    Thanks for the tutorial!
