Niceeeee, I recognize Scarborough Beach. Used to skate there as a kid way back lol, I live back home in NZ now. I have the 1990 CBR 250RR MC22 in the iconic red and white colours :D
I use to love skating the clock tower and the stair sets in summer

Picked a 1990 cbr250rr up last week.
What a blast to ride. Not the mention the eargasms it gives you! Haha
Only six in the group . I do track days in a group of twelve twice a year which is privately booked . We have all four brand's of 250 inline fours . I prefer the Yamaha FZR 250s as that is what I learnt on in 1990 . We have larger displacement motorcycles as well but they are all four cylinder models . One of the friends has an FZR 600 which I will ride a bit next month . The 3LN1 is my favourite though .

The CRF engine is different to the 14e engine found in the MC series & the Hornets / Jade's . One of my local resident riders has one which I see occasionally .

I would love to see one of these things up close, if I had the space I'd totally buy it as a secondary bike. Don't get many opportunities to go on rides and talk to riders :( Would love to test ride but no dealers in WA are selling one.
yeah, they're a fairly rare breed and only going to get rarer - as for seeing them up close, we're around, our WA page has 80+ members and some of us ride together a bit, bigger group rides aren't that often but we will be coming down to the Honda show & shine & ride coming up in a few weeks (at Honda midland, some Perth street bike sponsor thing) not sure how many we will have but I hope for 10 or more! all bikes are welcome to come though!
heh picking one up later this month. have a 1000rr and 600rr and rgv250 in the shed already. just need a 400rr and ill have the collection :D

check the page, there's sometimes a couple for sale (or post a wanted thread!) but other than that, keep an eye on the usual, gumtree etc - usually a couple around

Are there many good winding roads in WA?
+MotoJockey quite a few for sure, but sometimes can be kinda few and far between.. lots down south though, unfortunately my camera ran out of battery/memory before we got into the more interesting part of the ride in terms of winding roads and such (I ended up turning back to perth once the group got to serpintine dam!)
Bummer haha, Wish someone'd organize a meet in NSW plenty of good roads for it ;)

What’s the difference between an MC19 and an MC22?
Mc22 has dual front rotors 5 spoke rims lower clip ons and a slightly different engine whilst the 19 has a single disc 3 spoke rims and clip ons that sit above the Triple tree, I think technically the 19 is the 250r and the 22 is the 250rr
@@boolet6763 The MC19 is similar to the Yamaha FZR 250 2KR that I learnt on in 1990 in terms of general features . Mine was black & red .

@@robertmcfadyen9156 I doubt the accuracy of that tracing, I remember your comment in that other video, overestimating the rpm by 2k rpm

1:20 lol. I do the same thing on residential streets while people are around on my suzuki gsx250f. Shift up to 4th or 5th to keep the noise down, so they don't think i'm going 160 and murdering children. too good.
I was going 12K in first (doing about 50K's, more or less) and some guy ran after me saying he has kids in the street and that he's going to beat me to death if i ever go that fast again.
Funny stuff.
@@kyledelange7055 They don't understand the characteristics of these motorcycles , especially as the children aren't familiar with them . They aren't often seen after all . I would ride my Yamaha FZR 250 3LN1 & do whatever .
