I see a pattern on how Kuro presents animation. They don't just show us flashy animations with flashy transitions but with less substance. They're not just eye candy. They use them to show us a sneak peak to someone's story and lore. These videos, even the character demos add to the world-building. They don't feel like advertisements. With that being said, the quality is top notch!
Yah, as someone who skip most of the story ingame, i pretty much still can follow the whole story with only watching a cutscene and this, and it's looking good
from this cinematics alone, the battle with jinhsi and jue would be really emotional. Jue is practically jinhsi's second parent, the one that saved and raised her.

I feel something here that the sentinel is trying to help humanity by letting itself be absent(I don't know if its immortality only extends to unli lifespan) and the Rover is the key which they needed to achieve the girl from the Prologue isn't normal in anyway seems like a powerful being.

Speaking from a person who study animation, this is one hell of a beautiful piece of work. The storyboard artist did such a good job. Despite not having actions scenes it still capture the hype through the combination of visual and music. I think the people who made this also made pgr's Qu Shukra's animation? I feel like it has the same exact feeling with the storytelling and ending to the animation. Gotta say, both sick asf

I really hope kuro do a good job for the story bc i think the earlier story seems rushed because they needed to change the start, but i think they just slowly trying to migrate the story to the original story that solon wanted(?) I hope for the best for kuro :D
Could not agree more. 1.0 was such a let down for me storywise I thought they had not fleshed it out in the delivery department. This cinematic trailer tho is exactly how they should approach thing immerse people in your characters and their story without overloading them. The people who worked on this cinematic have nailed it so hard its crazy. I have high hopes for 1.1 hopefully they do a great job IG than on 1.0
can we talk about the overall feel of this cinematic? the mood is so intense and the animation and attention to detail is so good. the texture of water/snow/the rocks, realstic movements during the heavy snow, the sparkles on her scales, the look of despair from the people trapped and the determination from the soldiers/jinshi. the lady not even attempting to run from death. the overall animation is too good and i love the storytelling. PLUS, THE MUSIC IS SO GOOD TOO AS WELL AS THE VA'S. this is a really beautiful cinematic 🤍
also from the looks of it, im sure this will be such a bittersweet story quest considering jinshi has to fight jué, the being, and friend, that chose her to be magistrate 😭
YES!! YES!! As an animator, i would say whoever worked on the storyboard for this trailer really really popped off!! The choose of lighting, settings, backgrounds, layouts, everything was done so good to the point i cant help but get goosebumps! It also encapsulated really well with the story behind Jue/Jinzhou being constantly at war too and how much of a damage TDs have done to the world. I cant help but show this trailer to everybody 😭😭

Since the present Rover is still fighting besides Jiyan in the frontline that is far away from the Jinhsi location atm. I don't think Rover suddenly appears in the middle of them is a good idea. Let Jinhsi and Jue alone without any interruption. There will be strong emotional scenes between them.

Damn! That's a very subtle detail. Her original name was hsi but after becoming the magistrate of jinzhou she was bestowed the name Jinhsi. Jin(from Jinzhou) + hsi(her original name)
Actually both were explained in the game before (if I remember correctly) and Jiyan was already named Jiyan, as shown in Act V from the Geshu Lin phantom, where he already calls him "Jiyan" when he was still a combat medic. Jin Jiyan would be a weird name after all
This will be enough reason why Kuro needs to do it's own thing. If the devs keep listening to those people who keeps comparing this game with Genshin, the game's true colors will not shine. WuWa is slowly establishing its own identity now.
It already has its own identity, it has different combat mechanics, different equipment system or whatever you call those, echoes. Tbh the only thing I notice with WuWa "copying" Genshit is the Battle pass UI, that's basically it, Genshit never invented open world.

Whoever audio mixed the dub did it right. You'll notice the sound of the voices come from the characters' mouths and not the speakers. What i mean is in some scenes, it sounds like a voice-over, then a character talking like in the beginning of the trailer. This is why some dub scenes in the game sound off. You can tell no mixing was done so the voices sound loud and distorted. But here they sound clean and filter properly
this whole cinematic is just perfection! holy smokes. The music and subtle audio clues to go with it are so well done and the cinematic itself is stunning to look at, 10/10 from me
This is the type of thing that I need to see not only here on TH-cam but in the game itself. Please continue to push this kind of quality in animation and story telling. The more of this that we see in the game the more loyal the fan base will be. I personally want a game with deep lore along with present day story telling to accompany this games amazing combat. TOP NOTCH I TELL YOU. I didnt expect much with the story cause u know, the first impact was too excellent to surpass. (Plus the tof experience kinda put my expectations on future open-world game from other studios down a notch) But this storyline clip? From the animation, voice acting, music, and the cinematography? Wuthering waves you sure are doing well. And all that time marinating in the basement to only release on this right time is worth it. Keep the good cutscene coming. they way they did the transition on 4:03 when Juê said "as fate has decreed" and they are facing each other. is such a nice hidden detail. they both know this time will come. and Jué has told hsi long before Scar arrival. and as they face each other. it's just like Juè thanking Jinhsi for fulfilling her will.

Did anyone notice that she only devoloped the scales and the slightly bluer left eye AFTER the ceremony? i think it could indicate that she maybe could become a succesor of Jue and she slowly develops into the next dragon
the slightly bluer eye was so subtle I never noticed it holy moly. the scales are kinda like the side effects of being a resonator tho. i believe jiyan and mortefi also has scales.

Does that mean Federation have dragon sentinel too? or did he ever saw one? or maybe a tacet discord dragon. Calcharo mutation almost resembles the two Memphis, which denotes he's mostly in battlefield as expected for a mercernary. Those memphis are created through mashed frequencies of humans altogether. Which is why it's dangerous and could pop anywhere in a warzone.
It's just her mutation as resonator just like Jiyan and Mortefi that has a dragon scale on their body. If you don't know chixia is also has a mutation, her original hair is black but because of her mutation when she became resonator, and her hair turns into red

This is absolutely beautiful. The parallel of Jinshi walking the ceremonial steps versus her walking in the harsh winter, both towards Sentinel Jue. This is quite sad since Jue was the one who appointed Jinshi and as fate decreed, are they gonna fight

0:57 I do believe this is Changli when she was younger. She might have been the one to tell Jinshi about where she came from, and what her past was. Jue too of course. I think this might be the reason Changli chose to mentor Jinshi. They share similar trauma

Honestly, I have no words to describe what I feel. I think this video simply demonstrates all the potential that this game has for the future. I have particularly loved this cinematic, especially in the graphic section, in the time they have taken to create it, you can literally notice it. I expect a lot from this game.
Finally this is what a trailer should be, we shouldn't know exactly what is to come but enough to know what's about to go down, gotta say kuro didn't disappoint with this trailer. Also I was thinking of skipping jhinsi but damn this trailer kinda made me change my mind. Her past was sad in fact I like how kuro is treating the playerbase, not as kids but actual adults. I love the parallels of her walking up to become a magistrate and climbing up to battle Jué. I love the game's direction so far. I hope the current issues will be fixed and eventually I can fully enjoy it.
I'm suprised people say this game has fallen of if its still having videos be on trending for over 12hrs, people are clearly still interested. They've built up the hype and I hope that the story only goes up from here (as well as voice acting/direction) so that it can be closer to being as good as other parts of the game (i.e combat)
People are quick to judge nowadays. This game is 5 weeks old, and is still on version 1.0. If people leave, then let them. Let's not also forget that a lot of us are really wanting the game to be good. The devs are doing their best to amend from their mistake, give them time. And it's going to deliver more great stuff from now onwards.
Many people are hating and underrating WuWa like crazy. For many reasons. Like even just some have already enough gacha on their plate and just trying to push aside new proposition. can we talk about the overall feel of this cinematic? the mood is so intense and the animation and attention to detail is so good. the texture of water/snow/the rocks, realstic movements during the heavy snow, the sparkles on her scales, the look of despair from the people trapped and the determination from the soldiers/jinshi. the lady not even attempting to run from death. the overall animation is too good and i love the storytelling. PLUS, THE MUSIC IS SO GOOD TOO AS WELL AS THE VA'S. this is a really beautiful cinematic 🤍
also from the looks of it, im sure this will be such a bittersweet story quest considering jinshi has to fight jué, the being, and friend, that chose her to be magistrate 😭

YES!! YES!! As an animator, i would say whoever worked on the storyboard for this trailer really really popped off!! The choose of lighting, settings, backgrounds, layouts, everything was done so good to the point i cant help but get goosebumps! It also encapsulated really well with the story behind Jue/Jinzhou being constantly at war too and how much of a damage TDs have done to the world. I cant help but show this trailer to everybody 😭😭

Since the present Rover is still fighting besides Jiyan in the frontline that is far away from the Jinhsi location atm. I don't think Rover suddenly appears in the middle of them is a good idea. Let Jinhsi and Jue alone without any interruption. There will be strong emotional scenes between them.

Actually both were explained in the game before (if I remember correctly) and Jiyan was already named Jiyan, as shown in Act V from the Geshu Lin phantom, where he already calls him "Jiyan" when he was still a combat medic. Jin Jiyan would be a weird name after all

Whoever audio mixed the dub did it right. You'll notice the sound of the voices come from the characters' mouths and not the speakers. What i mean is in some scenes, it sounds like a voice-over, then a character talking like in the beginning of the trailer. This is why some dub scenes in the game sound off. You can tell no mixing was done so the voices sound loud and distorted. But here they sound clean and filter properly

Calcharo mutation almost resembles the two Memphis, which denotes he's mostly in battlefield as expected for a mercernary. Those memphis are created through mashed frequencies of humans altogether. They've built up the hype and I hope that the story only goes up from here (as well as voice acting/direction) so that it can be closer to being as good as other parts of the game (i.e combat)
People are quick to judge nowadays. This game is 5 weeks old, and is still on version 1.0. If people leave, then let them.
