    Hi, I met Boots today at superstore. My first time to meet a goat. Amazing how smart he is and the tricks he has learned. Thanks for letting me pet him.

    Although i love the taste of goat meat, im so glad this cutie will get to live out its life! I dont see eating meat as cruel, more of a necessity and i appreciate all our animal friend's sacrifices.

    Looking at goats always cheers me up when I am sad. They have so much personality and joie de vivre. Nigerian Dwarfs are my favourite breed, I just love how they look! Boots is really something else. It's clear you've put so much time and effort into raising a lovely gentleman like him. I wish I could have a buddy like that! Amazing that he's potty trained, how did you accomplish that?

    • @highfiveadventures
      @highfiveadventures  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes Boots has a lot of personality 😂. Thank you for commenting. Being with him 24 hours a day is definitely made our connection as strong as it is. He learned tricks and commands extremely fast and we just waited for him to go to the bathroom and gave it a command and a treat and he was trained in no time at all ❤️🐐

    The moment I saw this, I had to watch it. It's obvious how much you care for and love Boots, from all of the interaction with him, teaching him tricks, and challenging him to do new things (like try stepping into water). Some of my favorite moments was watching him drink his last bottle, the new trick in 60 seconds, watching him climb trees fearlessly, his curiosity when seeing deer, and also visiting the seniors. All precious. So, is Boots fully grown? I'm not sure how long it takes for Nigerian Dwarf goats to mature.

    • @highfiveadventures
      @highfiveadventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      We’re glad you are enjoying Boots adventures. He has been the same weight and height for the last 2 months so has he stopped growing? Or is he just in maintenance because of the cold winter temperatures? Not sure .

    • @highfiveadventures
      @highfiveadventures  หลายเดือนก่อน

      We and all his human fans are his herd. Mama Jeff is his protector, feeds and nurtures him. Sister Susan trains and plays with him daily. We will always be on probation with his breeder to ensure he is not left alone. We fully understand this. He thrives from his visits with humans at senior homes, health care centres, festivals and schools.

    How could we meet Boots??

    • @highfiveadventures
      @highfiveadventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      You must be from Lethbridge. Over the winter months we regularly go for walks around Henderson Lake but at random times. Usually early afternoon.

  • @Trollsonn
    @Trollsonn 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Is potty training along with regular training a goat similar to dog training with the 4 quadrants of conditioning?

    • @highfiveadventures
      @highfiveadventures  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No clue. We give a name to a behaviour and reward him.

    • @Trollsonn
      @Trollsonn 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This video is by Nate Schoemer, a professional dog trainer and he explains the best most thorough way to train a dog backed up by scientific research from Russia by Ivan pavlov. If this can be applied to your goat, I might be tempted to get a dwarf breed type of goat too to be honest lol th-cam.com/video/XQRgci18tvY/w-d-xo.html@@highfiveadventures

      His name is Boots. He sleeps in a crate/kennel in the house. He has the same crate in our car that he travels in on road trips. He loves to play, be active, learn new tricks and he also likes to lay in the sun or on Jeff’s lap. He has bursts of energy like a child. 😅
