Thank you for taking up the theme of Onam, and including several instances of Malayala bhasha and shailee in your presentation. For all the instances where I had to look up the meaning of Telugu and Kannada words to fully appreciate the compositions, this would be a hearty turn-about for rasikas to explore the rarely-heard Malayalam on the concert stage.

Going forward, this program needs to tell all Karnatic artistes that they should include several kritis Malayalam also. After all this is Onam Pookalam.
There are several Malayalam composers such as Tulasivanam and many others.
I am not parochial in making this suggestion. The Kerala Karnatic audience are by far the most eclectic for Karnatic music.
