    thanks for sharing. we farm in Manitoba , a few row crop 806's , not many , most sold through thus area were wheatland standards. Dad had a 1963 standard , 7.50-20 front tires 18.4-38 rear tires , no duals... wish we had kept it , got traded on a new black stripe 1566 back in 1976 ( still have that unit. Picked up a late model , last productikn year 806 standard ( 1967 ?) always shedded paint is original and not faded , clampon 18.4-34 duals , 5,000 hours, only issue is front spindles wobble too much in road gear , during the short hwy trips... 806's as well as JD 4020's are classics really great tractors in my opinion.

    you are absolutely correct , regards to statement about the rllguard saving both the operator as well as the 4166 tractor ! 2 months ago bought a 4186 from an estate sale a few miles outside of Brandon , Manitoba , there was a 4166 as well. both units had not ran for close to 10 years. did not need the tractor , but older brother promised to do the grunt work. he drained the old siesel fuel , cleared blockage in the fuel line between tank and the filters , a new set of fuel filters as well as batteries ... he got it started and drove it onto a drop deck trailer , for the 2 hour trip home. Everything seems to work , steering , both front and back , all the lights , cool collector unit. Have found limited supply of new primary and secondary air filters , ended up buting from local CIH dealership ( Wix and Fleetguard no longer make thise filters , and no longer available ).

      @@thetractorguyoldtractor3524 I was able to get all the filters for ours from our local Wix distributor.

      @tmonteIH what's the name of your local Wix filter distributer ... I might want to order 1 primary and 1 secondary air filter for our 4186 from them. Thanks for posting your farming and tractor servicing videos very informative. I know a couple of local Manitoba grain farmers that run Gleaner combines , they really appreciate them for cost effective time machine , as well as a clean sample , and not throwing too much out the back. Next door neighbor has been ru Ning CIH combines for years with good results. Other neighbors seem to like JD , the green paint, local dealership support , OK trade in value seem to favour the J D's . for saving the grain... think Gleaners and CIH are a notch ahead of the JD

    I love the 806 with the clamshell fenders, I don't see those where I'm at. Everyone's got the flat tops.

      Clam shells make them look cool. Have a 706 with them too.

    On the 4166 the mark is from the factory chin weights, we currently have have the correct 4166 bracket and full set of weights on a 806 standard. If you would interested we would possibly trade for regular IHC suitcase weights.

    That roll guard definitely saved his bacon. I noticed the window was gone but if you hadn't pointed out the other damage l wouldn't have noticed it. Those tires probably about doubled the value of the tractor. 😄

    Years ago I bought a grain truck on big iron, the seller was really mad because it didn't bring near what he thought it should. But that's the risk of no reserve auctions.

    If ya'll tubo this tractor with the same injector pump and you farmed with it, it will use about half the fuel. If pulling at the max it will get toasty warm because I doubt it has piston oil squirters and if you do turbo it an oil cooler will help engine life.

    • @tmonteIH
      @tmonteIH  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'd highly doubt I run it hard doing tillage or anything like that. Maybe pulling drills.
