Same! I also really enjoyed this show, but it fell of the rails for me in the later seasons. I still believe season 3 is the best season in the entire show. This depiction of the Disney-version of fairy tales was very clever because it unfolded like a mystery. It's exciting to learn who is who and how their story fits into the main storyline. However in season 3, the twist and turns are top tier.

The prince was originally planned to actually die, but higher ups said it wasn't really a good way to start a show about fairy tales and the creators enjoyed his performance Also the actors that play Snow and Charming actually ended up together and getting married in real life after meeting on the show. Some neat trivia they mentioned in a commentary is that when they were filming that kiss scene at the beginning (on April 6th), real snow started to fall.
Just wanted to add if you don't know something there is a good reason for it. For example you don't know if the evil queen remembers if she was the evil queen or not.
You're right. The "classic" or older fairy tales are awful. However, I enjoyed the fairy tales in this series so I hope you continue to watch this show. Even with the low budget and green screens, the series is great because of the characters.
Also, this show is the definition of set up. It's like pretty much everything is a set up to something, and a lot of things aren't concluded until later.

I'm pretty sure I saw the Pinochio with JTT in the theatre, and I watched Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella with Brandy allllll the time.

I agree, I was yelling at the tv “YOU ARE MISSING so much!!!” And had to laugh at the end when he said it was a simple show he didn’t really have to pay attention 😂😂😂 I’ll watch another one to see if it gets better.
The thing about Regina she does love Henry but she does have issues but she doesn’t beat him or abusive to him at all she is a little helicopter parent. the reason Henry can age is because he isn’t from wherever they were so whatever happen only affects people who were there if that makes sense without spoiling some thing

So fun fact that opening scene where Snow White is in the glass coffin. It actually started snowing when they filmed that scene (in the woods.)

She literally gave birth as the wardrobe finished. She went into labour right at that moment, and she wasn’t able to make it there.
