~¤I Like that Movie, the Movie 2 is So Good More too¤~
Since it’s now December, you think you and the girls (Hailey and Stella) might do some Christmas movie reactions on the channel sometime after you react to _Huntsman: Winter’s War_ next week (unless it’s more fantasy based movies)?🎄
Granted, I don’t know if it will happen considering your personal and reaction schedules as the movies your reacting are done a week to two weeks ahead before their upload, but I really would like to see the four of you balance your movie reactions schedules and not skip out on reacting to certain movies depending on the month since I was disappointed you guys didn’t reacted to *ANY* Halloween or Horror themes films in the month of October this year, as you’ve been to focused on reacting to the Science Fiction films every Thursday for 7-8 months (The end of February to October 2023).
So I wish you guys take it to account when you’re doing the Thursday/Friday Group reactions.
Can you watch "Mirror Mirror (2012)"? 🙂❤
I would love for you to watch, 'Snow White' A Tale of Terror - with Sigourney Weaver and Sam Neil. A deliciously dark take on the fairytale.
Oh I don't mean you watch it WITH Sigourney and Sam lol, they star in it.
The movie "'Snow White: A Tale of Terror" is the closest to the Grimm Brothers fairytale.
This isn’t the only Snow White movie that came out in 2012. Mirror Mirror is more lighthearted, sightly closer to a fairytale version, and stared Lily Collins whose father Phil Colins composed songs for Tarzan and Brother Bear.
I was going to say this. That one is so funny I would definitely recommend it.
Phil Collins is a fantastic musician and it's sad you only know him from Disney movies.
I loved that we got two very contrasting Snow White movies that year, this way we had this gothic warrior version and the lighthearted fairytale one and both different than the OG!
I really liked another Snow White remake, Mirror Mirror with Lily Collins, that one is more a of comedic take on the story. Would be great if you checked this one out as well.
that IS the better remake....
I second for _Mirror Mirror_
I like Mirror mirror, but hated the choice of the ending song.. like, out of the blue, let’s have a Bollywood inspired dance/song, without any reference during the movie or even main characters played by Indian actors.. it is borderline appropriation.
I love Mirror, Mirror. Personally, I didn't like this movie at all
@@camillaroberts6476 Why? If I remember right one of the movie makers is of Indian decent.
Kristen Stewart deserved WAY more recognition and praise for this role. She did a PHENOMENAL job as Snow White.
She hits that sweet spot of being a strong Disney princess that a lot of people miss. Her strength in this world is the fact that she retained her innocence and belief in people.
@@jeffreyson1 right? Like her personal fuck ups shouldn’t take away from the fact that she played this character well. Plus I’ve always found it strange when people are hung up on celebrity drama, as if it’s theirs to be upset about. Unless it was literal murder or assault or something along those lines I really don’t see why people care that much. It’s sucky for those people honestly, like they can never enjoy this movie or any of hers because of it and it’s silly.
??? I didn't see it, horrible accent choice, little to no chemistry with Thor, I didn't see that sorry
@@drewsaad3948 that’s fine, you are you’re own person and are perfectly within your rights to not like it lol.
@@drewsaad3948I agree
I believe the old original stories that the Grimm's tales were based on were actually bit dark. The underlying morals of the tales were meant as warnings and were intended to chill the listener! Nothing like the cutie fluffy lovey Disney versions 😂
Yes, but a different kind of dark.
Yes, the evil queen is senteced to dancing to her dath on heated iron slippers.
In the first version of the fairy tale there was no bad step mother. The real mother was the evil one and envious of Snow White. But after a few centuries the story changed into the evil step mother because it felt to weird that a mother would wish her daughters death.
wait until you find out mothers like those ACTUALLY exist 🙄pretty sad and fcked up, mothers really be competing with their own daughters smh
Which is ironic because mothers jealous and hating their daughters exist in real life
It also had the mother telling the Huntsman to bring her certain organs from Snow White so she could eat them.
her tits?@@Vyperus69
These were the times were fairy tales were way better then the Disney lies 🤣
Charlize Theron was amazing. The clear stand out. Also Charlize is from South Africa, where I am from as well . 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦The rest of the cast were really good as well.
Howzit man? 😄
@@tinahastie I'm good man always 👍
@@ethanrhode5281 sharp 😉
Let's Gooooo! I love this film so much, and it's so underappreciatived. Fingers crossed for the sequel 🤞
I do like this movie a lot but I like the sequal better for many reasons but any way. I think they all played the parts well and I love Ravenna's dark Fey powers it's an amazing effect and also interesting power as well. Kristian in my opinion is a good actress but ya the script didn't give her much to work with. Ravenna's past is that her mother was a witch and because of that the king came to kill her and took the then young teenager Ravenna and her brother to the castle where they grew up and eventually she got her revenge on the king for killing her mother. Also the three drops thing is that her mother granted her immortality before she was killed and only a kind hearted person could undo the spell and there for kill her. The second one goes a bit more into Ravenna's past so that might get your interest though Snow White herself isn't there cause the sequal is it's own story with background on Eric and his wife Sara as well.
I think people like to over-hate movies Kristen is in just because of Twilight )people don't consider she was just ACTING and Bela was that type of character), but this isn't a bad fantasy-adventure movie.
This movie was fun but the second movie, The Huntsman: Winter's War, is definitely my favorite. It's a good one to pop on whenever I want a cozy background movie now, lol.
The Queen was told by the Golden Guy that she saw that if she took Snow Whites heart, her powers would no longer weaken or wane. Snow White saw and heard that, and that is why she said "You can not have my heart" at the end. Nice Post.
I love this film. I had just had my son and was watching it one day he wouldn’t settle. Been a comfort film for me ever since 😂
**i'm just saying that stella has the kindest pair of eyes i have ever seen whilst hayley having the warmest smile ever.**
You guys should see The brothers Grimm. I love that movie, it's so strange and scary but so beautiful
Actually both kissing her seemed to lift the spell, i think thats why she cried both times she was kissed by William & Eric.
Like a true love from her childhood & one from her adulthood. It just isnt set up correctly for it to make full sense & only looks like Eric was able to bring her back.
As much as i enjoyed this film, i feel the storytelling left a lot to be desired. Like her speech was meh, defining the characters more and understanding Snow more should've been priority.
Yall should watch the Disney animated one
I thought this movie should have been a miniseries. They did a lot of amazing world building and giving lots of hints of interesting history to a lot of the characters, but you're quite right: there was so much of it the film had to zip through them all far too quickly. If they'd each had their own episode as part of Snow White's journey to save the kingdom, it could have been extremely good.
I’m loving your reaction to my favorite great movie called Snow White & The Huntsman.
Honestly this makes me want to watch you guys watch Underwater. It’s such a good movie and the excitement of it really gets me. It’s dark though. Haha like the lightening is a little dark. You definitely need to lighten the screen before watching. Hopefully you guys can take a look at it
Can you watch "Mirror Mirror (2012)"? 🙂❤
@whitenoisereacts can you watch Mirror, Mirror?! Please I beg you!
i love these so much. you should watch the huntsman winters war
omg!!!! I asked for this one months ago, so happy you guys watching this!
I hope you guys react to the sequel, I think it’s good too!
LETSS GO! This is actually a really good film! My Mom and I were skeptical at first, but we ended up loving it!
Loved this movie! You guys should react to the sequel, the huntsman: winters war
Good movie but the second one is my absolutely favourite
Personally I thought it was a cool take on the Snow White story but I didn’t want to watch it again after the first time (and at the time I seriously could not deal with Kristen’s acting). The sequel however is pretty damn great for me! The fantasy of it all, the special effects/CGI, EMILY BLUNT, it was all great and don’t know if you’ve seen it yet but if y’all haven’t I hope to see that reaction Soon!
The Huntsman: Winter's War (2016) is really good as well!
I recommend the live action Beauty and the Beast!!!!
It’s not as good as Cinderella but it is still beautiful to watch🎉❤
See, this is why I love this channel... you venture into other flicks that get missed. I have no vested interest honestly, so, good or bad, it's still a fun if not slightly unique watch. I even liked the follow-up, to such a degree I actually wanted the people of short stature in that one to get their own follow-follow-up flick. One actor in particular, Sheridan Smith, stole every scene she was in 😂
@White Noise Reacts, hey James& the gang if the four of you knew there were another film that was out around 2012,"Mirror Mirror" - starring Lily Collins& Julia Roberst,Armie Hammer, both film focuses on Snow White as the main character?.
My mom's maiden name is White, so my aunt was almost named Snow 😅 although that was back in the 50's
Many fairytales have strong or magic women in power. Original ones, especially!!!👍👍👍👍
I loved this so much when I first watched it and never expected u guys to react to it, I'm so excited 😆💃
14:10 I had Never Ending Story vision when the horse of Atreju sink in the swamp. I don't know, if you already watched the Inkheart (2008) or The Thief Lord (2008), The Spiderwick Chronicles(2008)? These movies are good too @WhiteNoiseReacts.....
Yall should react to mirror mirror sometime!! Its one of the best snow white movies and im saying that as a big fairy tale nerd. Its also really funny!!
The huntsman movie next please, you gotta watch. It's so cool too
Snow White’s line “You can’t have my heart” does sound a bit redundant and clunky upon first viewing, but with some analysis it actually has a role to play in expressing her character development. She isn’t saying it to Ravenna as a person but to the darkness that Ravenna’s character represents. The triumph of good/light over evil/dark is apparent not only in the characterization of the two sides fighting one another, but in the fact that Snow White’s attempt to attack and kill, after Ravenna taunted her and put it in her head that she was there to avenge her father, failed, because it was about vengeance. Whereas, Snow White was successful in killing Ravenna after seeing her men be killed by the Glass Shard Soldiers, because she was trying to save the living rather than gain vengeance on behalf of the dead. The end of the fight is her realizing that crucial difference, and denying any sort of darkness a claim on her heart - which would have been awesome if understanding it didn’t require you to think so much about it.
At the time, i had NEVER seen the original snow white but then my dad showed me this movie. It was by far my favorite snow white….but then again it was the only snow white rendition i have seen.
I liked this but the sequel is my favorite
Again, in love with Stella.....
a little off topic but I hope you guys react to the new hunger games prequel film when it’s available digitally in the future☺️🕊️
Kristen Stewart she also did a good job in underwater (2020) which I understand nobody really liked
Theres some of this thats off I agree with you, but its a good movie. I think youll enjoy the second one even more!!
Awesome reaction everyone!
Yes I love that movie ❤
The vibe they went for was amazing for this, even if the story itself wasn't always compelling.
I wanted to like this one and, while it does have some great visuals and decent character concepts, I agree that it tries too hard to “be cool” and doesn’t spend enough time developing the story and characters. Personally I prefer Snow White: A Tale of Terror for this type of gothic, dark take on the story.
I love your reactions. I would love for y'all to react to King Kong 2005.
Team Ravenna! And her weird little brother. Also, she didn't just choose not save him, she was too weak to heal him with the amount of damage he had taken.
Glad yall reacting!!! Loved this movie
wow these films actualy were oscar nominated
I never really cared for this film. Aside from the visuals I do agree with you that they put so much into it that there wasn't enough fleshing out of all the concepts they were throwing at it.
A more forgotten version is one called Snow White a Tale of Terror which came out 1997. It's really dark has Sigorney Weaver as the Evil Queen. And for some reason I always loved it. I feel to some degree it's closer to the Grimm version while also taking a lot of creative license and embellishment. I think it gets to cult classic status for me.
Adult fair tale. The Brothers Grimm 2005.
I notice that the Girls (Hailey & Stella) haven’t uploaded a new reaction for two weeks following their reaction to _A Beautiful Mind._ Is everything alright on the reaction side of things because their Stand By Me reaction was set to be uploaded last week but the fact that it hasn’t happened means it’s dealing with copyright issues or being delayed indefinitely and be released two months later like what happened to their _Dune_ reaction so hopefully you get this situation fixed.
It would be great if you guys would react to the Hansel and Gretal: Witch Hunters movie. It's a real fun movie!
IMO I like the 2nd one better.
"BROTHERS GRIMM" IS A VERY GOOD FILM. MATT DAMON AND HEATH LEDGER👍👍👍👍👍😄
It’s neat to see you reacting to this! This movie and the sequel have beautiful sets and aesthetics that are under-appreciated, but the writing is not good. So many cool ideas are thrown in and then forgotten and unexplored. The script didn’t know how to incorporate all of the old and new elements into the adaption but kept everything in anyway. I prefer the sequel because it left this need to include and work around the familiar parts and instead used them to build a new story.
I vote for King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. Some good cinematic scene you would enjoy!
eeeeee your reactions . please kindly react to a KDRAMA TRUE BEAUTY. its plotline is amazing and i am sure that you guyz are gonna love it .. pleaseeeeeeeeeee
Recommend you all watching stardust it’s so good!!!!!
You guys should really make a review for "Onward" from 2020 for your animation reviews.
That movie is awesome! ⭐⭐⭐
This is a decent version but I wish they hadn't left out the part where Kevin has to steal the 62 roast beef sandwiches from the magical cactus. My cat says the whole damn story just falls apart without that context and I'd have to agree.
i love this movie
The Huntsman is a small character in the fairytale.👍
I thought the actress playing Snow White had a super narrow emotional range. But she wasn't given much in the script, either. I didn't find any character to sympathize with. As Stella said, it lacked heart. Also, I agree that "John Wick" tugged at the heartstrings much more. I mean, like a TON more.
almoooosttt as good as maleficent
Snow White is as Grimm as it can be. Other than Rapunzel, it is the only other Grimm that originated in Germany.
Surely not among all the tales? I know a lot were written down in french or italian before but for example "The Fisherman and his wife" and "The Junipertree" were actually written and told in the low german language. Besides since a lot of those tales can be found all over Europe and some even in Turkey how can anyone tell were the ture origine of them are?
I am not a SnowWhite fan, at all. I hate everything about SnowWhite in fact. BUT I enjoy this movie, mostly because of the gothic horror element.
Winter's War imo is better because there is no SnowWhite lol
As to your question at the beginning about the original story - there is indeed a lot more to it.
The Queen actually made two other attempts on Snow's life. First, she dressed as a tailor and tried to choke her with a corset. Second, she was a traveling merchant and stuck a razor-sharp comb into her skull. And then finally, we have the old woman guise and the apple. Each time, the dwarves warned Snow not to talk to anyone, but the dolt still did. Like seriously...
Also, there was no spell or true love's kiss in the original story. When the Prince found her, he brought her back to his Castle, casket and all, and it fell off the cart. The jolt made her spit out the piece of apple lodged in her throat so she woke up.
And then finally, the death of the Queen - she was invited to the wedding and was made to dance wearing hot forged shoes until her feet literally burned away and she died from the pain.
If you haven't watched the series "Once Upon A Time" it is worthy of your talents.
Bro i just watched this yesterday.
SEE "TIME BANDITS"👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤👍👍
This movie rocks
"Hurt by men in the past..." Do people really think women are incapable of agency?
Well...her cruelty towards the father and the resentment in her heart was fueled by how she was used by the men in her past. The whole reason why she sought beauty was that in her mind, beauty is power, and power is the only way not to ever be hurt again. She had the agency to move on and be a good person--yet she became consumed with hatred and vanity. Not rly sure what you are trying to say here.
@@kellymun6757 oh, I understand the story, but it's an all too common plot device these days regarding female actions. Funny enough, Theron's portrayal of Wuornos did the same thing.
A wonderful movie!!! ❤
37:51 Stella is part rabbit.............or rabid.
Hi my love Nobu you're my crush 4ever❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Steward acts the same in every role.
I think that Rupert Sanders tried to make this movie an epic. However, the script wasn’t very strong. The exposition at the beginning was weak and when the dwarf referred to the King as HE, the reindeer being the spirit of the king, and then they suddenly gave him a name so randomly towards the middle of the movie. The mysticism was very weak to me. That monologue she did was also very poorly written, the words just weren’t moving or impactful. Kristen was fantastic. And I agree, we needed more time with her. I also agree that the film was cinematically pleasing for sure. There was a lot of great shots. But that was it. The script just needed to be better.
Ah yes the movie that made Kirsten and Robert break up
Next stop...
THE CROW
You know this is like after twilight she was still dating Robert Pattinson at the time until she cheated on him with the director of this movie.
Honestly they gave Kristen Stewart the worst lines :)))
...again lol
really disliked most of the post-twilight edgy fairy tail reimaginings.. except this one. love this move tbh.
Sequel is definitely better
Your reactions are beautifull and on point. As for the movie...such a poor choice of actors! Like Snowhite is more beautifull from the Queen
I think Kristen Stewart was a miscast. Mainly because she has to portray a magical pagan forest lady Jesus.
Although I felt like you guys were asking a lot of questions about hows and whys when the answer was obvious "it's magic."
It's magic. It's always magic.
The greatest sin of this movie is trying to make us believe that Kristen Stewart outshines Charlize Theron when it comes to physical beauty. Kristen is pretty...but COME ON. Charlize is stunning.
For me, the most hilariously absurd part of this lackluster and rather terrible movie is the concept of Charlize freaking Theron being jealous of Kristen Stewart's looks. Not to bash Kristen's looks or anything (though I will bash her acting), but let's be honest, she's not exactly a show-stopper, she's average at best in the looks department. So to have Charlize, who is a show-stopper, supposedly be jealous of her because of her looks is just ludicrously absurd. The rest of the movie is a couple hours of being told how amazingly special this Snow White is, despite her being completely ordinary and her doing absolutely nothing of note...coupled with zero chemistry between her and, well, anybody else in the movie, the wooden acting and awkward line delivery of Kristen Stewart (which is the extent of her acting capabilities, based on her past performances...maybe she's only good in a very specific type of role, like Sophie Turner, and I just haven't seen her in that role, but I still ask every time she's on screen how the hell she finds employment), every fantasy movie trope the director could think of, and the tragic waste of Nick Frost...
The scary part is, at least going off what's been released about it so far, the Zegler version of Snow White is going to be even more of a dumpster fire than this movie was.
Have you even seen her in Spencer? The dramas where she actually shines?
@@navidhudson7065 I have not seen Spencer (it's on my rather long to-watch list), but I have seen her in other dramas like Still Alice, Camp X-Ray, Clouds of Sils Maria, and Cafe Society, as well as a couple of other movies (Underwater, Happiest Season). Her acting has been underwhelming at best in all of those, and at worst she's essentially a wooden marionette. I kinda doubt Spencer will change my mind about her as an actress, given how many movies have reinforced my view of her, but I guess we'll see...
@@WraithWTF Well give Spencer a try and even if it still doesn't change your perception of her, that's fine. But there's a reason she was one of the most talked about actresses of that year's award season and got the Oscar nomination. Anyone could've played Diana but she was chosen and got the acclaim.
You should react to the prequel/sequel The Huntsman Winter's War and then check out Jack the Giant Slayer, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, Alice in Wonderland, Alice Through the Looking Glass and Red Riding Hood.
These are all cool retelling of classic Fairy Tales.
That would be good!! These are all good movies. The Van Hellsing - The London Assignment (2004) movie is a similar type of gothic action movie. I don't know if they are going to watch this too....
eeeeee your reactions . please kindly react to a KDRAMA TRUE BEAUTY. its plotline is amazing and i am sure that you guyz are gonna love it .. pleaseeeeeeeeeee
Not my favorite film but enjoyable nonetheless and easily Charlize Theron was such a perfect choice playing the villainous Evil Queen in this movie. The interesting thing is that the producer of this movie was the same producer who produced the 2010 _Alice In Wonderland_ and _Maleficent_ for Disney and the director of this film also would later direct the 2017 _Ghost in the Shell_ film Starring Scarlett Johansson and will direct the upcoming remake of _The Crow_
Finally, as it’s now December, you think you, Nobu and the girls (Hailey and Stella) might do some Christmas movie reactions on the channel sometime this month after you react to _Huntsman: Winter’s War_ next week (unless it’s more fantasy based movies)🎄
