    If you press the display button on the right side it will change your screen in the gauge cluster. By the way, some of the mark levinson speakers are defective in those model years so be thankful for the normal sound system! It’s pretty much just as good.

      Hey, thanks for the maintenance hint but I no longer have this car. I traded it in for another Lexus, a GX470 which is what I was also looking at when I originally got the GS. I did a walk thru video on this one too. I'm enjoying this tank, just not the fuel economy ;-)

    10:24 "dour"? Hardly. Or at least in my opinion. Anyway, thank you so much for this great walkthrough of the vehicle. After beating my brains in for a solid week looking at used Toyotas, I stumbled across a very helpful/hungry young man at my local Lexus dealer in San Antonio. I knew I didn't have the resources he did, so I gave him the ball on some models/year ranges I was only interested in. Within a couple of hours, he was walking through his parking lot, and tripped over this exact model. Brand new arrival. Cant wait to pick it up Monday!

      @@jboy1k413 I'd say its absolutely worth it. Luxury at a bargain! Had mine for 2 weeks now. 2011 gs350 definitely more spacious than the Is350 models. I got mine for 10k with 87k miles that's a steal. The ones in great condition with lower mileage go for about 10-13k easy

      @@23MBeezy I am in Canada . If I want I could get either a 2007 GS350 AWD with 123k km = 76k miles for ... 10,000 CAD = 7,300 USD , either a 2007 GS350 RWD with 160k km = 100k miles for ... 8,500 CAD = 6,200 USD. Which one is the better deal I am wonder . RWH would probably give you a slightly better handling , fuel economy and acceleration being 160 lbs lighter but much better traction in the snow/rain . But even being in Canada I would buy the GS for hwy driving as my ED city driving is a Yaris . I have a 2002 manual 530i and that would stay in my fleet regardless , too nice car to sell ! I am torn between a sedan GS35s or G37s and a GS350 . While Infiniti is 70% sportiness and 30% luxury , Lexus is 70% luxury and 30% sportiness, a much more refined car but from drivers perspective G35/37 would be the way to go . Lexus would have a better gas mileage.

    Stephen, which car do you like better, the GS or g37? I'm debating between hunting for a rear drive g37s (preferably 6sp manual) or rear drive gs350 (love the interior).

    • @steviebster1
      @steviebster1  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Overall I liked by G37x better than my GS350 awd. The G37 is more of a driver's car equitable to a BMW 335/330. I would have still had if it had it not been t-boned by another driver. The GS is about as quick but the handling dynamics are not as good as the G37. The exhaust note of the G35/37 is addictingly lovely.

    • @radu197666
      @radu197666 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@steviebster1 The best out the 2 would be a G37S : slightly better handling and fuel economy , better seats as well. Unless you don't live in a place with long snowy winters . But they said that the interior - design and materials - are much better in the LEXUS. G35/37 comes the closest a car can be to the Bavarian autos and it's a driver's car indeed, I read that even the acceleration is smoother and refined in GS while in Gs once you press it the car takes off quite suddenly . I guess it comes to that : if you do many twisty roads and ramps go with G, if you do a lot of straight line highways GS would be a more relaxed and cozier drive with a slightly better fuel economy at the end of the trip. I plan to buy other car - my daily city delivery car is a bullet proof Yaris and I have a 2002 530i E39 with under 90,000 miles for highway cruising - and I was torn between the G35 and G37 but now I am taking into the equation the GS350 as well ... preferably the RWD version . Hard to find a sedan G35 or G37s here in Canada without being X so AWD. I like the sedan much more than the coupe G although I know I am part of a small minority :)) . If I get the G , Infiniti would be considerably rougher than my E39 BMW but much faster and much worse in fuel economy - I get 33-34 mpg with 530i on summer long trips - , if I get the GS then the handling would be considerably worse than the BMW but would provide a much more refined ride, worse fuel economy and still much more power . You cannot have everything in one package : E39 530i would be a great mix of handling and confort and good looking car plus great fuel economy but reliability wise on a long term and power wise won't be at the level of G35/37 or GS350. You can get the E39/E60 540i to get the same power but then the reliability would be even worse than for 530i !

      I liked the model just not this particular car as I found out it had been in an accident after taking it in for since repair work and the original body repair was poorly done which affected the body's integrity. I traded it in on a 2008 Lexus GX470 which I've loved.I also briefly had a 2004 GS300 which I preferred over the 350 because of its smooth running inline 6.

    Does it has AUX plug?

      No. No Bluetooth either. You need cassette adapter to play any plug-in music/media.

    I have the same model AWD. Since I can't afford buying new car parts, I buy used one. The only issue I have is that the used part a bit expensive too because It's AWD.

      Love the GS model but not the AWD. it's more complexity and cost for parts.
