Something I don't understand with these i have one and I don't know whether I need to be wifi connecting to its access point or stay connected to my main router to have a best signal, is this pushing a strong signal or just waiting for me to connect to its access point ,cheers

I wonder if you can help… my router gives off my 2G and 5G and I can connect accordingly. I set up as per your video and only the 2G light comes on and not the 5G. I see TP recommend doing the WPS again to find it and add to the already found 2G. It doesn’t no matter how many times and I’ve reset a bunch too. When I go to networks it has my 2G and 5G with EXT at the end along with my two normal wife signals. Yet no 5G blue light. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong? Cheers mate.

Honestly, I’m not sure! Maybe change the channel of the 5ghz network and see if that helps.

It’s got a network port so in theory, yes , but it would never be as fast as a full on hard wired connection

After 2 years is the unit still working? I had one of these worked well for a week, then I turned it on in the morning and it stopped working. I don't know if it's because I turned it off at night and turned it on in that made it stop working, no one could tell me what went wrong. Anyone know why it stopped working?

I’m no longer using mine.. largely because I’ve got a more powerful router now! These are generally meant to be left on, so maybe the on / off did damage..?

Very useful because this video made me buy the TP Link device. Just for information, mine wouldn’t connect via the wps button. I have a Virgin router with dual band so maybe that affects it, I don’t know though. It connected fine via the Tether app (it found both Virgin bands) and the instructions were very easy to follow.
