Wow! This is so timely! I am already 35 and still single. I was praying about the guy that He will send me. And He reminded me that He didn't want Adam to be alone because He knew that it is not good for man to be alone. I know that's the same thing He is thinking for me. He plucked Eve out of Adam's ribs and I do believe that I am plucked out of someone's ribs also. God has reserved an Adam for me. But I prayed to God that even though I wouldn't get married, He should be enough. He must be enough. Because without Him, I am nothing. Even if I get married and have children, or have lots of money or become famous, without Him, I am nothing!

I'm 61 years old, and am married of 35 years, and I still feel the empty ,cold, loneliness that we all feel. For most of us it does not end. I'm not stupid, I can clearly see it in others too. No, I don't have to feel this way, I can fulfill the desires of my flesh, and freely go straight to Hell,...... BUT I DON'T WANT TO BURN IN HELL! Dear Vihan, you got the conversation thing right to the dot. I am 38 and that's exactly how I use to have conversation with God. And actually talking to God honestly helps a lot, even with the temptations, because that will indeed come. I just got married last year. And the wait was totally worth it. It gave me time to enjoy and discover more of God and me. Having said that it was not easy, but now I know being married is also not easy. The age old saying goes as - the grass is always greener on the other side... But what I have learnt is, the grass will be greener where we choose to water, be it our single life or our married life. I'm 48 and single, and I am so thankful for supportive relatives and family. I also have a great church family. Being single has allowed me to focus on my relationship with God and learn from observing so many failed marriages of what not to do. I also have good examples of loving marriages that have lasted more than I've been alive. God is good and not withholding any good thing. He who finds a wife/husband finds a good thing and obtains favor of the Lord. I'm convinced that it's our responsibility to "find" someone to love. Love is a choice and God will never overstep this choice. He will however, bless and work with those who honor Him.
My husband got married at 39 with me of course, he did not regret the wait nor did I(even though my wait was a lot shorter), God's timing and will are truly worth it. Sometimes I think the longer the wait the bigger the blessing will be, just for motivation. God's time is perfect and beautiful! God bless you!

I would run and hide under the carpet every time I heard the word “marriage” but I thought it would be nice to have a guy!! Since then God has moulded me .. shaped me and made me understand the role of a wife and a mother.. the responsibility of having a family and all of that. But after a certain age there will be a lot of pressure to get married. Only we know that we are waiting on the Lord to show us “The One”. But the pressure around us will cause us to doubt and get anxious and frustrated but just hold onto the promises ! Being single is a great and awesome time to spend with God. Vihan, I just stumbled upon you yesterday and honestly, I don't think God could have gifted me anything better than your spirit for such a time in my life. It is so familiar, one that I have been struggling to get back to now for over a year, after much spiritual upheaval and transition last year. When I have nothing familiar left I can return to, this is sweet to my soul. To remember My God as I have known Him before.
