you could experiment with soaking the film or spraying it with different stuff. bleach works really well, and some other acidic stuff. Sam Beige has a video testing some of those. Also definitely experiment with heat as well! if you apply lots of heat while it develops itll get really nice warm tones, or even look scorched. you could try holding different spots over a flame while its developing for cool differently colored spots like you thought would happen with the flashlight!
