Yea rhymes deck building skills are whack lol. "OK so these are themed decks but I'm barely gonna stick to the theme" I get its for balance but he has gone a bit hard on the balance. Edit: Turns out the one Buster Blader was a Reax mistake lol.
To be fair they do have to also go with the 2005 ban list but yeah I'm pretty sure that banlist doesn't have buster bladder limited to 1 either way lol
He'll either lose everything stupid-fast, or he'll be in a back room trying to play cards, coins & dice with the thugs who the casino hired to rough him up.
Love the buster blader deck with one buster blader, almost zero ways of getting him out, and not a single raw 2k beater/wall while the dice deck has like 8 2k walls/beaters. No clue why he didn’t combine the two gambling archetypes either because he just left gaps within the “dice” deck.
It's so strange to me. Rhyme has this tendency to HAVE to have removal like Dust Tornado or Sakaretsu Armor. However he screws the balance of the deck because then he doesnt add in more things that Buster Blader needs. Even just more spells for more consistantly making use of Skilled White Magician.
He needs to get someone else to make decks for him because he's genuinely one of the worst deck builders ever, would make it more fair too since he wouldn't know what cards the decks contain.
It's even more funny when you just look at Buster Blader's options. If Rhyme plays that 2k wall in defense mode, there are like two outs in the entire deck: Nobleman (if it's still in face down position) and Buster Blader. No other card can get over that 2k wall. I get that the deck has other removal cards like Sakuretsu Armor, but that doesn't help you when the opponent can just play a monster in defense, you can not get over it and they get a chance at removing your monster every turn.
Odds of getting 3 and 5 at the end (in any order): 1/18. 2 ways to work it out: EDIT: I got this wrong, didn't account for reroll on 6. Thanks @AgelessCharade ! Real answer is 2/25, or 8%. Leaving original comment up for posterity lol 1/3 chance of getting either 3 or 5 (2 out of the 6 sides) for the first roll, followed by a 1/6 chance of getting whichever one you didn't get first time. 1/3 x 1/6 = 1/18 OR 1/36 of making two 1/6 called shots in a row (1/6 x 1/6 = 1/36). The chance is doubled to 1/18 because it can happen in either order. Not crazy odds. Slightly more likely than a D&D Nat 20. Still very funny, especially because Rhyme called it beforehand. It was even in the right order lol.
Not quite correct. I don't know exactly how to work it out off the top of my head, but you forgot to account for the fact that sixes get rerolled. So the first die is essentially a 50/50, at the very least.
@@AgelessCharade Ah, didn't realise that's how it worked. That's fair. Do they keep being rerolled if you keep rolling 6? If so you can effectively assume a 5-sided die since you keep going until you get 1,2,3,4 or 5. Just swap out 1/6 for 1/5. So 2/5 x 1/5 = 2/25. That's 8%.

Okay so, I am not saying that all decks necessarily need to be equal. And I am not even saying that dice decks can't have cards that aren't dice. But a bit of balance needs to be done. I know that Yu-Gi-Oh players nowadays forget that defense position was a bit more useful back then, but here is just some fun fact. If Rhyme played that monster with 2k defense in defense mode, as far as I could tell, the Buster Blader deck had exactly 2 cards (three if we include Call of the Haunted) to get over that 2k wall. One is Nobleman which only works if that monster is still in face down defense and one is Buster Blader which needs two tributes to come out. Basically, the moment that monster is on the field in defense, Rhyme won the game, because not only does Buster Blader need to draw the out (which is a one-off), they also need two tributes to summon him. But that same 2k wall has a chance of destroying one monster every turn. And that's ignoring the other 2k beaters. Point being, I get that it's hard to balance all decks equally. However, things like these HAVE to be checked before starting a series like this. If you have decks with 2k walls, then you have to make sure that EVERY other deck either has enough removal options (not just for attacking monsters), but also has several options to get monsters out with more than 2k attack.
