DESIGN WITHIN REACH: a new series on our channel where we tour every day people’s homes and show YOU that you too can have a gorgeous home that you LOVE without breaking the bank. It’s so fun to see celebrity home tours with limitless budgets, but we are more interested in peeking into the homes of people who lead “normal” lives with budgets to adhere to and see how they get creative with their spaces. There was no better person to start with for this series than Wendy Thomas. Wendy is an artist in every area of her life. Everything she touches, she makes beautiful. She sees beauty in the things most people overlook - she loves the broken things, the forgotten things, the worn out things & gives them all new life in her stunning home. I also love old and new. I became chronically unwell 5 years ago and housebound alot so I decided to upcycle bits from second hand shops or Marketplace etc. I also love crafting with natural products. I live in Scotland, my hubby takes me foraging for beautiful fir tree branches, cones and flowers, I dry them myself then make willow/dried flower wreaths....most of my furniture is upcycled. Recently I kindly acquired a free Lloyd Loom chair which is currently being lovingly restored slowly. Orla Kiely is a favourite stylist of mine and I bought 1 metre of her print fabric from ebay to upholster the seat. I think its made me fall in love with my home even more as its being brought together with lots of love. Thank you for inspiring me even more ❤❤

I came to rewatch as I couldn't stop thinking about Wendy and her beautiful home! What a talented, loving woman whose house and art I am blown away by. Tezori, though you are relatively new to this, and I have watched hundreds of interior videos from AD, Shumacher, Homeworthy etc, this was one of my favorite interior video's as so much of her pieces are thrifted.
