      I agree. I've been wondering to myself if any of these bullets were planted. Why so many in succession all of a sudden? Just like we heard sometimes polices officers plant drugs in vehicles they pull over before the days of body cameras, I just wonder if the ammo was planted. Why would this country do this? I don't know. Just a thought...

      If you shoot often, like go to the gun range or hunt, it's not uncommon to have a few spare rounds fall into your bag. It's like finding loose change in your couch or hair ties under the bed. I always have random rounds rolling around in my rifle bag but I make sure to have a dedicated bag for that purpose, that was their biggest mistake.

      First off, mastery of English is a good thing. It's "WERE" they set up!
      Second, if you listened to the video, you would have heard that they were able to get through TSA simply because they were small items that were missed. While I've never owned a gun before, so this is something I can't even imagine, if you own guns and you've gone on hunting trips, it's very possible that you simply didn't realize there was a bullet left in your bag. But to immediately jump to conspiracies without a shred of proof? Geez man, let's calm down!

    Why would civilians travel internationally with any kind of ammunition?

    • @lovevioletflowers3442
      @lovevioletflowers3442 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      Most people are not intentionally traveling with ammo. They live in states where people are allowed to carry weapons. They remove the weapons from the bag where the weapon is often placed and decided to pack clothes in that same bag, or for some other reason want to take that same bag on their trip. Unfortunately, hey may forget to dump the bag upside down, unzip each pocket, and then take out the liner - you'd have to go through al this to make sure any bullets that may have slipped out of their usual holding place get found before the bag goes to the airport. I don't have a gun so I've never had to worry about loose bullets, but I've occasionally found stray coins this way. How did the coins end up at the bottom of the bag? Well, sometimes when I'm out shopping, I put the coins into a small pouch, but then the pouch became a little unzipped and the coins fell into the bottom of my bag under the liner. I'm pretty sure they occasionally lose a few loose bullets in their bag the same way I've lost a few loose coins. The difference is that I can't get locked up for coins I never meant to carry to the airport, but they can get locked up for bullets they never meant to carry. It may be best to never use the bag that goes to the gun range or which you've used to carry a gun for any other purpose, and to ESPECIALLY never travel with that bag.
      On aonother note, it doesn't speak well for American security screening practices if our TSA misses those bullets lodged at the bottom of somebody's bag, but the security in a small place like Turks and Caicos finds the bullets.

    IN AMERICA.....we don't hold people accountable and then expect the rest of the world to be the same way when they do not. In ATL the busiest airport in the world....... at first, if you brought a gun into the airport/your luggage/through TSA because "you forgot it was in there and/or failed to check" it was STRAIGHT TO JAIL!
    THEN they watered it down to jail but it wasn't as serious and you could get right out.
    THEN it was watered down to getting processed in the building or something ridiculous as long as you had a permit and didn't come back as a criminal not allowed to carry or something silly.
    NOW it's a quick ticket and you can still make your flight like it never happened and the penalties are nothing once you go to court.
    There's no accountability for anything anymore. People should check, double check and re-check their bags. Period! And have bags that they ONLY put luggage in for traveling and not for going to the range, transporting guns etc... and then they won't have this problem. I am all for grace and mercy but enough is enough. Anyone else getting caught just needs to be prepared to do hard time for going in these nice folk's country with guns and/or ammo. Period.

    Having a hard time understanding how you have even one bullet in your luggage, no matter how many rounds of ammo you fire at the gun range. That said, the government of T&C should look at the record of mandatory minimum sentences in the US and other countries, they don't work or deter those determined to traffic firearms/ammo which this law is actually intended to target. Most firearms are NOT being trafficked on planes to T&C, the vast majority of guns come from small boats that travel easily up and down the Caribbean island chain. The T&C government would do well to instead address the enormous income inequality gap that exists on the island and contributes to gun violence instead of punishing ignorant tourists. This is not the way to increase tourism in a country that relies so heavily on tourism.

    My cousin works for TSA out of NYC and she told me the scam. The local customs agents in Turks in Cacois are blackmailing American tourists. They are placing bullets and other small contraband in American tourist luggage when they go through screening. The local custom agents "find" items and demand they pay thousands in fines or go to jail for years. They are usually targeting white American men because they believe they are the ones with money and the ones most likely to "hunt" in America, thus having a bullet in their suitcase is plausible. The black woman in this story was probably tagged by accident or they assumed since she was traveling there she had money. What older black woman has bullets in her suitcase? Zero. They are blackmailing tourists and customs agents, police and local authorities are getting kickbacks.
