I recently have pain where they showed the orange tapes, I don’t know if they mentioned if it’s connected to the arm, but the pain close to my armpit makes my arms feel numb and weird. @@TopazM Sounds like a brachial plexus issue. The nerves that run through your arm originate from a plexus that's located around the armpit. If you have tight pectoral muscles it can cause you to have internally rotated shoulders, which can contribute to nerve impingement that you feel further down your arm.

    Hello Bob and Brad, could you please do a video on the ergonomic keyboards. Is arm pronation, ulnar deviation and wrist extension from using regular keyboards a serious issue to worry about?

    • @Cody27
      @Cody27 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used a 100% keyboard ( w/ numbpad) for 10+ years and had a lot of wrist, arm, and chest tightness. A lot of my friends had similar issues. Now I use a 75% keyboard now and I noticed an immediate difference the first day. I can keep my hands closer together while slightly angled in and my elbows closer to my body. and I think the next step up is boards that are 2 halfs that can be set anywhere to accommodate specific needs

    • @darklightning9319
      @darklightning9319 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Cody27 I am currently using a TKL keyboard, saving up for a hotswappable mechanical keyboard. I am leaning towards a 96% keyboard but am wondering if an ergonomic keyboard would be a better choice. My ideal keyboard is the ergodox ez ( best of both worlds) but I don't type enough to justify the price 300 USD.

    Hey just started following your page. I’ve been dealing with a tightness in my left chest, upper back, and neck and some reason can’t beat it. All of this has caused restricted breathing 24/7. I know posture is an issue here because something keeps throwing my body in fight or flight mode and I think it might be my neck since getting pains up the back on my neck and left side of chest and shoulder blade. This has been going on for about two years and haven’t been able to do my normal everyday activities like sports and working out because it’s so uncomfortable. When working out it’s hard to breathe and can’t get the deep breaths in that are needed to keep going which makes me dizzy. It feels like my chest, ribs, and back are locked up. Been to several doctors and heart and lungs and spine are good. Been going to a chiropractor and they mentioned that I don’t have an s curve in my neck anymore but unsure if that is causing all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Bill!

    Can tighteness in this muscle cause short of breath? I’ve been studying too much lately and I’ve noticed a tight feeling in this zone after having studied, which leads me to short of breath in the evening

    • @CoNSu_11
      @CoNSu_11 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I kind of came to the same hypothesis. I had the feeling of being short of breath (even if I fully inhaled), but I thought it was due back muscles, specifically scapular section. I played with the tennis ball on my back and on an point I was breathless.
      As back and chest are opposites so, while I focused on a rounded, weak and hyper extended back, a tight pec is also there.
      So, I vote for yes in your premise.

      @@CoNSu_11 I swear, it can also be a mixture with allergies as in these days I have throat tightness, chest tightness due to allergic sinus. Still I do notice this feeling on my right side in the zone of the chest after having studied or after having used the computer for a while. It feels like I’m short of breath at dinner and a while before it. Sometimes it will happen at lunch hour when I study in the morning too, while if I study on the sofa I will be fine (like today).
      After dinner or lunch, when I lay on the sofa, I kinda feel better??? Maybe it’s because I’m making that part relax/expand, I suppose. At night I have no problems either, while laying in the bed. I feel like it’s a muscle constriction problems, but it can also be a psychosomatic thing.

      @@Junpeixizumi I suspect it's more postural. Because we hunch in computers and while doing homework. You feel better in couch and bed because as you said, you get a more neutral position there.
      Walking (even inside the house in a hallway) can immediately ease the symptoms.
      The bad thing is if these problems are not addressed, muscles not longer relax while lying. I lay on hard floor thinking it will restore the natural position, but problems were too deep that nothing happened. I had to take stronger and more active ways. I had anormal intense anxiety attacks due bad posture (hip rotation and hunching).
