Just got one myself after going through all your vids, theyve been a great help mate. i had this thing up and running in 30 mins, d/r,end points and steering curve all set. just found a bit in the manual about getting rid of the timer off the homescreen and sticking voltages there instead. looks loads better imo with battery voltage displayed. thanks!

Wasnt happy with the end points, and this was a cheap way of getting the steering under control. the only thing i dont understand is the binding... I cudnt seem to get it to bind on 'digital' setting so changed it to 333 like you used and it binded. Not actually sure what im doing on this part but it worked....
Thank you so much for your G7P videos. You helped me not only decide to get one but also your videos are so needed with the woeful instructions. I have it running my Vanquish Phoenix's 3 servos perfectly. So glad I found your channel!!
@@WTFRCCars did this update fix the problem with when you reverse a servo, the adjustment indicators not being reversed as well? For example if you reverse a steering servo, now to trim it left you have to trim it right in the menu because the servo is reversed? Same on the throttle channel.

Naice info! THK's for the Share! I Search but dind't find, some "setup" to use this radio in a TRX4/6 and how to configure the channels to use the micro servos.
Should be easy set up, you have 7ch to choose from and the stock radio only has 4ch so just need to assign them if I get time I'll make a set up vid :)

this vid is really helpful, after watching it yesterday i did the 1.0.28 update without the fs assistant, download the firmware connect the tx in your pc set tx update firmware and double click the downloaded firmware straight forward but this method will loose all saved settings.
You don't need too so far no update has required the receiver to be updated, but you can connect to assistant v3 and if the receiver has an update you can select it from assistant v3
For me I'd get the G7P has way more features and far more receiver options but completely upto your go with the one that has the features you need and the one you like the best :)

hi you state that this transmitter now has a sponge wheel. is this out of the box? or as an accesory like in another vid where you put another flysky wheel on the G7P. can you provide links to wither a closed box with sponge wheel or the accesory one? thanks!
I've just upgraded my radio from 1.0.23 to 1.0.28 and despite it's not mentionned in the changelog, the stupid BVD high value alarm of 9.9V has been removed. I can now freely set a BVD high and more important low alarm on my 4S buggy.
Nice, this radio really going from strength to strength. Love the features and the 7ch capability, but even with a foam wheel it feels a bit cheap in the hand. Hoping they release a noble/flagship radio with ANT in the near future.
It's a great radio for the price :) I don't think you wil see a noble pro or nb4 level ant radio as ant protocol is not a.good as afhds3 it's closer to afhds2a in terms of speed and performance so would be a step backwards form the nb4 and pro

I have this radio and it's really good, I really like it. Unfortunately I can't do firmware updates because I only have Mac computers. They released an Assistant app for Mac a couple of months ago but it doesn't work at all. I sent them an email about it but never got a reply. It seems like you get very quick responses from them when you have queries, what email address do you use to contact them?
Hello mate, I've had this radio since August and have started getting what I can only describe as "phantom" steering input. It shows on the display but the wheel is not moving/being operated. Have you experienced this and do you know if there's a fix? I'm going to update to see if it can be sorted (or has been) via firmware and you seem the best person to ask :)

Just updated firmware and calibrated and it seems alright on my drifter, but I was out earlier with my xmaxx and the steering was going crazy 🤣 Cheers mate, thanks to this/your vids it's the first time I've updated the firmware 🤪 The servo speed function will be a game changer for me drifting with this radio (rwd drifting)
@@WTFRCCars Quick anecdotal story, I started with the G7P using Absima CR4P receivers for a XV-02 build I built with a Castle Copperhead 10, as I needed a WP receiver back in August or so. The GT5 wouldn't cut this, so I got the G7P. For a while I've owned a Onisiki Hannya and used the R7P with BVD for that build and took it to a local club back in December for the first time, and the tech guy there actually really rated the G7P after helping me dial in the Hannya. He said it seems great value but was lacking servo speed functions. Few weeks later the firmware drops with it 😂 The G7P is honestly great for the price/performance, can't fault it other than this weird steering gremlin

Yeh it's just slowing the polling rate to what the esc and servo need :)

Not sure I don't think I have had to reverse any of the channels on my rc's so far

I'll check when I'm home :), and there is no way to know what version of software is on the G7P until you power it on.

Just set then to 2 position switches and then set the endpoints correctly :)

What happened to your bricked GP7 is that the one on this video or did they replaced it?
I did a vid showing how to restore it to working and yeh this is it still working now

just search usb c data cable in eBay or Amazon, any usb c cable that comes with a phone should work.

Mine broke on the 1.028 update the 1.024 fix not working for the this fix I need a 1.28 fix ?????
The fix is not just for 1.0.24 it resets the G7P back to 1.0.1 so will reset any firmware you must have another issue with the usb cable or pc
Iv just fixed it there's 2 downloads I used the 1 on the right you was right

Have you tried calibrating the transmitter? If it's the steering potentiometer there easy to replace :)

Yep for the price they are one of the very best tx out there and so many options with the receivers like light control and built in ESC :)
