Sorry for the delayed reply, I was at Berkeley Kite Festival. A long flat or tube tail behind a stunter is a visual treat. I much prefer it for fun flying. Prism kites sells them. Tom McAlister that Highlines kites can help you. If you or the missus is handy with a sewing machine, I recommend going to G-Kites and picking up two 2 inch by 50 foot flat tails. Hot knife 12 or 18 inch sections and sew them together to make a one or more very long striped flat tails for your kites. I guarantee you will get admiring looks and friendly questions. Glenn
No apologies needed my friend. Its all good. I just really enjoy watching some of these. We have a kite festival coming up here in Two Rivers, Wisconsin on Labor Day weekend. Hopefully I will get to see some of this stuff in person.
Well, What a great video. I would have loved to have been there. That looked like a perfect day. We dont get many like that in England. Nice to see Nick launching one of the spinsocks, Chuffed to bits. Cherie makes the aerobatic stuff look so easy.
Good breeze, good beach, good kites, good show! Some great camerawork (and flying skill) from Cherie as usual. And I recognised that "patriotic" spin basket.
Jim, w all said that New Zealand must be like this. Blue sky and good wind. It made us long to fly on your beach, and you on ours. Cherie was pleased that her baskets did well. BTW, if the swivel is too heavy, please change it out for another.
You and Cherie are a kite show couple!! And with Nick involved it has to be one continuous festival. I'd love to join in sometimes. My crutch keeps me from executing the most attractive launches, but my clown costumes help me hide my insecurities.
Heya Mr. Glenn! Q: Have you & Cherie ever made it out to the Callaway, NE kite fly? I've been there one time way back in the early days & was set to go for the 2020 event that was canceled. Hoping it will take place in 2021, but like my mom used to say, "You Can Wish (Hope) In One Hand & . . . . "!
@@PanyingPilot I don't think I'm on a video from back then. It was way before "Social Media", when people were actually social. If I do find one, you'll be the first to know!
Great video Glenn and Cherie. A big blue sky and so many kites and laundry. You all worked hard to make a great display for the locals. Do you ever get a winter there ? I am still waiting for our summer winds to settle down .
The World Needs More Kites, a Big Thankyou Glenn, Cherie and Nick! for making my evening. :^{D
Very nice comment, appreciated Raymond.
Those long tails on the stunt kites really look spectacular! I also love those trains, the way they just trail up in the sky.

Always proud to fly a Vaughan creation.
Great kites and great display Glenn.
I have to agree, it was a super time.

We would love to have your company. At the very least, make us a video. OK?
It was a great day for sure. Getting to fly all the way to sunset is always a pleasure. Another fantastic video.
Teamwork and a fair wind made it a joyful day.
Loved the pirate flag weight :-)
A pewter mug from a second hand store does the trick. it can hold sand if more weight is needed. I love the way that flag flys.
