JK has completely fried my brain with this song and choreo. I'm playing it constantly and it's a music worm in my head I don't want to leave. I love that there is no collaboration and we get 100% JK. He says he's striving for perfection. I'll be needing medical assistance in that case. Honestly, I'm watching this and I keep forgetting to breathe. ❤

I don't think some artist can do that live especially his song,some artist they are only good in studio recording but anyone can't sing like him and dance at once
His shying guy, and soft voice when it's talk. But when it performed slayyyy he's different person. Charisma truly performer
No one does it like him. NO ONE can sing live that perfectly, even better than the recording, while dancing to one of the most intense choreo for a solo stage. And mind you this song is hard! The pitch is high and requires constant switching between head and chest voice, yet he pulls it off so seamlessly that we can't even tell. Damn, he is truly gifted with the most enviable vocal agility ever!

Stage presence, Dancing skills, VOCALS!! ..all at once..and LIVE? Grammy him!! Geez he is one of the most complete best artist, performers, singers of this generation.
I think Jungkook is showing his confidence and maturity with this performance in an even stronger way than with the other two main songs on the album. All by himself, no swearing and no guest rappers. He is just magnificent in this performance!
His showmanship definitely shines here. But he put his vision into this album. Those two songs reflect an image of himself as well. We can't forget that.

If people want to keep clinging to the past and focusing on infantalizing JK as the innocent baby boy of the group, this performance pretty much blows that dynamic right out of the water. No body art or revealing fashion or drinking and smoking or driving fast or any other (often really fun, or slightly shocking) forms of intentionally rebellious self-expression would even be necessary. This is everything required to prove that he is a fully grown male artist hitting his prime and coming fully and joyfully into his own power. Love it.
I've never seen an artist that can so flawlessly switch between their chest and head voice, and he has to do it a LOT in this song. He's so impressive! I hope he gets acknowledged for this album and isn't just put into the k-pop category when awards season comes around.
Let's hope for that. Thank you Lord for giving jungkook.

I suggest you watch the official mv Choreography Version which was just released by HYBE Labels. It shows how Jkook pays homage to MJ. JKOOK is one talented artist with his dance moves.

He’s been doing this for 10 years now and what those guys have done over those years has been so beneficial to put him in a place where nothing would faze him, he’s been in all sorts of situations, had so much experience, the only difference is he’s doing it alone. Yes…his presence is electric, not everyone has that and he is so passionate about his craft!!!

If you have seen the Romeo and Juliet, Baz Luhrmann version with Leonardo Dicaprio, the stage stands out just like the one in the movie, I know peeps were saying the wings were a nod to Black Swan, but in the movie, Juliet wears wings to the ball. She had white wings too, JK was wearing Black wings in the video, but right after you see JKs wings it shows the girl in the video in the white dress just like Juliet wore in the movie also.

The 1996 Baz Luhrmann version of R & J. If you watch the trailer and then the video again, it probably makes more sense. I don't know about the choreo being inspired by it...but the vibes of the MV. MJ was definitely in the choreo.

I think JK is one of the best singers in the kpop industry because of the control he has on his voice and how effortlessly he switches and how easily he does his runs. This is in no disrespect to other singers, I'm talking about technique and stability

When i saw that the director said that they referenced romeo and juliet it all clicked in my mind lol. Love that stands the test of time = romeo and juliet is one of the most famous love story of all time. Fight scenes representing the 2 clans fighting. The glamourous aesthetic reminded me of Baz Luhrmann's Romeo+Juliet. The wings too, but in the film juliet wears the wings lol. the theatre set could also refer to the fact that it's a play.
There is now a choreo version of the mv which is real similar to the Jimmy Fallon shiw performance

Them falling, imho, is refrencing Blood, Sweat & Tears. The model in the original was, again IMHO, represents Army. And...the limo drivers represent the 'backwards' conscription in the military and keeping BTS from Army.

When the other dancers go flat and then come up halfway it's just like the start of the choreo in Singularity--I can't figure out a thematic connection, though.
