Just wanted to comment to say that I can't believe you don't have more subscribers/viewers!! I love your production and the way you talk about/describe games. Keep up the great work.
These kinds of comments are what keep us motivated! Thanks Tom and we really appreciate you watching :) Feel free to join us on discord to run a game online anytime!
Why am I only finding about you guys now?! Great video. Some classic choices mixed in with your personal quirky ones. New sub here. Keep it up. From Melbourne Australia
The South Tigris trilogy is amazing! Wayfarers was my most played game of 2023, and Inventors has such a huge spread that even after a few plays, you feel like you’ve barely scratched the surface! But my absolute favourite of the trilogy is the second instalment, Scholars. The colour theory, the thinkiness, and the theme of translation … it’s like this game is made for me. But all three are excellent games! They are more complex than any of the North Sea or West Kingdom games, but in my opinion they’re worth it. Also, aside from the “influence” mechanic, scoring at the end, and dice placement of some kind, the games are quite different from each other, so if you don’t like one, don’t let it turn you off the others. Anyway, I’m rambling … I have never heard of Amalfi or Harvest before! Thanks for the list! Some good ones there, for sure! Nucleum is so good! 😀 Last time I ranked, last summer, here were my picks: 30. Oh My Goods! 29. Bitoku 28. Hamburg 27. Age of Innovation 26. Vinhos 25. Tramways 24. Paladins of the West Kingdom 23. Ark Nova 22. La Granja (Deluxe) 21. Crystal Palace (It should be noted that I didn’t rank my games based on “which game is best” but by “which game do I want to replay right now,” which can mean a lot of variability from list to list.)
You're now the second person to mention that Scholars is the standout. We are certainly planning on trying it when possible! Agreed they sit a cut above the other trilogies in terms of difficulty, and with more time, wayfarer's may have made this list! Do you feel Age of Innovation is the best of that Trilogy? I enjoyed Gaia Project but it didn't quite make my list. Bitoku is also a game I am being told I have to try, so I'll report back :) - John
There's still a Top 20 and Top 10 but we've both only been *really* gaming for 5 years so this makes sense! That said there are 4 games here of 20 that are older than 5 years old :) Thanks for watching!

Your top 30 games of all time are no older than 5YO. It's like saying that Fast and Furious 10 is the best film of all time.
