@@CustosKeeper There really isn't much left to top. He pretty much covered every mod you'd want to make to an n64. The only think I would change would probably be to get rid of the key fob and install it inside the primary controller. You can even pull power from the controller, so it wouldn't need a battery. It would be some extra work, but I think having the power and reset in the controller also helps prevent losing the dang thing.

Hello, folks! Just so you know; I have now modded the stock controller you see in this vid. A pretty hefty LED mod. Extreme 10 LED Nintendo 64 controller mod. Purple N64 controller pad mod.
For those who are going to comment "Where are the other 3 controller ports" the guy modified it through an external port which is a Genesis/MegaDrive controller port since he mostly plays only 1 player but to be fair, how many people play N64 games with more 1 person "it's a rare occasion for me so I'd do the same myself", just thought I'd let you guys know before you write something like that. But besides that, it's a very lovely mod, I love the colors on the system and controller ports.
nice job. i dont care what people say but gaming was so much better in the 80s and 90s when a games console was just a games console. now we get long ass loading screens you need internet to get the most out of your games and lets not forget social media and streaming. i just want a xbox or a ps4 just to play games not to watch tv or sent a tweet if i wanted to do that i would simply watch tv or use my phone to sent a tweet not power on my console.
+0reaver01 in all seriousness, I think that the games themselves in the 80s and 90s were far and away more phenomenal than most games these days. However, not all games including internet connectivity are bad. Sure, when it's a requirement and the internet connectivity does jack diddly, it's bad, but when it's either wholly optional or entirely necessary, it's lovely stuff! As for the social media bit, yeah, I could do without that whole angle. Maybe keep the streaming capability, though, I quite like watching video games live, to decide if they're worth buying. Also, the loading screens are simply an unfortunate shortcoming of the disk technology that games are stored on now, I miss the days of cartridges and short loading screens myself. (also this n64 mod is phenomenal work)
Love almost everything... But you should have relocated the 2nd controller port to the right side, and left the light in the middle - though I like it vertical. The controller port on one side only triggers my OCD

Not sure what confused you. I'll take a guess you are asking about why you shouldn't joke about copying genius. Many people legitimately do copy entire aspects of peoples lives in which they admire. Altho it spreads the original content it also limits new content from being formed by those doing the spreading. Maybe they would have been capable of achieving a greater genius had they only tried.

Where do you learn how to customise all that? You really know your stuff, including soldering, electrical devices, paint...are you a wizard or something?
Also, how the fuck did you make this 9 years ago I barely see even minor mods on the N64 even after massive improvements in how people understand the inner workings of the console
Beautiful and extremely well done. The line between the top and bottom parts of the case are flawless and speak toward your craftsmanship and attention to detail.
I was preparing myself to modify/customize my old Nintendo 64 and all of a sudden you recommend me this? Does youtube/internet has a recorder to hear everything you say or something?
anything with a mic on it will actually hear keywords you say. theres a lot of info on this on youtube and online. you can do your own research. its just a marketing technique.
@Bob I'm with you exactly. The situation is beyond dire. There calculating every Americans every move with AI and controlling society now with ease. Great beast 666 is technology and this phone

, cause excersize is bad for you"
You sir, I like you
lol :-)
This literally just got into my recommended in 2021. How was this posted so long ago, it deserved much more love
Where do you learn how to customise all that? You really know your stuff, including soldering, electrical devices, paint...are you a wizard or something?
+BearGills Just been tinkering with stuff my entire life, man :-)
BearGills
Start small, man. A new paint job would be a good start
I just bought myself a Wii and gave it a paint job.
Next up: chipping my Gamecube and also give it a fresh paint!
Not a fan of N64 but this is really nice and very crafty, took the three other ports out and made a multi tap. That's cool .
Also, how the fuck did you make this 9 years ago I barely see even minor mods on the N64 even after massive improvements in how people understand the inner workings of the console
Jesus! Has it been 9 years already?!
@@CPS2 yeah dude I wasn't even a teen when I first watched this now I'm a grown ass man lol
@@Scornfull
And I'm an old ass man 👴🏻
@@CPS2 true but you're still one of the best console modders I've ever seen at least lol
@@Scornfull
Maybe once upon a time 😊 There are some clever folks out there now.
Beautiful and extremely well done. The line between the top and bottom parts of the case are flawless and speak toward your craftsmanship and attention to detail.
+Louche Decay Glad you like it, man. :-)
Yes
I remember this video from back in the days 😂 I destroyed a perfectly good working n64 trying to mimic this mod...misplaced all the screws & never finished the project till I toss the whole thing out when I moved ...happy to say I own a Pokémon n64 now and will not be attempting this mod again 😂😂
This is just down right Badass....Very very Badass.....
Really nice mod! Well thought out and nicely executed! Top stuff.
That is pretty killer
One of these with a water droplet effect would be awesome
“Blah blah blah, science science science,
Bigger, And bigger is better”
lol
Loved it then and I love it even more now I appreciate what's been done on a technical level, I think this is the video that set me on the path to getting an n64.
I’ve watched this probably 50 times now. lol
I think he likes the n64
I love this vid seen it ages ago but always come back love your vids hope your doing well?!
Absolutely beautiful. I would love to have a 64 like this. Great work.
>then plays OOT for the 30th time
Lmao I remember this video from elementary school
Is it still working?
same...
God, I'm old...
Haha
I sold it some years back. But it's an N64, so yes, it'll still be working. 😊
@@CPS2 I'm glad you sold it, cause I wouldn't want it either.
Good idea modding just 1 port. Besides Super Mario 64 isn't multiplayer anyways xD
blew my mind out much detail was put into it, final product was amazing good job
Ahhhb back when 720p was the beez knees
Damn that's awesome ... how much would you charge someone for something like this ?
dannyrivera8300 probs 5 times the original price (1000$)
@@scorexyso8302 that's ridiculous for some light mods and cosmetics?
dannyrivera8300 well it makes sense because the originial price is $200 and the paint job is very detailed as well as the cartriage port and dont forget the 1 controller port with the 3 others on a seperate part, and the LED power indicator is rotated and moved more to the right
@@scorexyso8302 I rather buy the xbox scarlett for 600$
That is fucking incredible! Absolutely stunning work. Amazing job
Good lord that's a beautiful console and Ive seen plenty but this one is breath taking.
