Starfox Adventures is like this weird fever dream daywalker that can traverse the worlds of both the N64 and Gamecube, but is not welcome in either. Seeing this made the whole debacle even weirder.

I'm pretty sure General Scales is voiced by Chris Sutherland, who IS a programmer but also voiced a lot of Rare characters like Banjo and Kazooie. He was also the announcer in Killer Instinct.

By the way, the triceratop buddy is called "Tricky"
Being fair, many N64 games really liked to push it since it was such a powerful console compared to the rest, so they went for looks the PS1 games where ugly as sin but at least most games kept frame rates playable

We have been so lucky the last few years to get such cool ROM leaks like Dinosaur Planet, the unfinished Goldeneye remaster, and the Zelda 64 alpha content.
Man there’s something about Rare games that make you feel nostalgic even if you didn’t grow up with there stuff, like Stickerbush Symphony, makes you feel things man, it’s honestly more a track that makes you think of your childhood not really nostalgia for Rare.
The music is what made me play star fox adventures all the way through, i found it so good and atmospheric. Feels weird hearing the same music in this version of the game.

But now it's Fox McCloud, and he even addresses himself as such. The "royal knights" thing makes it seem like they would've gone a different direction with Fox's story after Star Fox 64, where instead of being broke, General Pepper appointed the crew as guards.

It's so cool that the game doesn't just instantly cuts or fades into gameplay after a cutscene ends and instead cleverly blends the two pretty seamlessly. It's so rare (no pun intended) to see an N64 game do stuff like this back in its heydays.

Those voices are devs, I recognise them from Conker. Rare used to use whoever was handy for voice acting. IT may not have been the best decision for Dinosaur Planet, but it gave Conker a lot of charm and character.

Chris the N64 wasn’t known for stable framerates, especially games made by RARE.
20fps was pretty average for the n64.
