Cramer's Rule to Solve a System of 3 Linear Equations - Example 1

Why does the order go + - +? What if the coeffient was a negative? Would you use a + instead of a -?

It s been a while now, I read and read and read again my class note on Cramer s rule, and I was not able to understand but after yours example with a 3x3 matrices (3variables), everything was going easily in my mind. Now, I m ready, for any nxn (n unknown variable) matrices, to solve. God bless you!

At 1:57 why did you get -8? Shouldn't it be 4 multiplied by 2 so positive 8?

no, that is part of the determinant. He did 2 * 0 = 0 - (1 * -3) so it ends up being minus, minus 3 which is just 3
