Nice one mate, been looking forward to watching this one since your packing video over a year ago haha! Googs is no joke, I found the sand there harder then the Simpson since there is no hard pack between dunes but great effort getting out there mate.
@AusMoto yeah between renovating, moving house and taking on a massive work project ive only just got around to finishing this off! I also found Googs harder than the Simpson, There's just not rest at all! Great country though can't wait to get back out there!
Ah the contemplation at 15 minutes. I think lel from brake mag summed it up nicely, he said “where do you want to struggle” and that basically leads everyone to the answer I reckon And then every day for the rest of time you go over the conversation at the camp site and wonder if you’ve got the right bike 😂
If in Doubt, Chuck it out! Googs Track is a Sandy Dune Hole. You could have easily died out there with no Water. And probably killed your clutch! You have to go really lightly loaded for that track. Not with ALL that shit you guys had packed. Still, you live and learn. Least you gave it ago. And you survived to try another time. Empty bikes with a Support Truck with all you shit in it . Plus Spares. Stay upright. Kiaora from Iron Knob, SA.
@davidkumeroa2997 absolutely! We had enough for another day but if it was going to be struggle street the whole way we would have been rekt! Still was a good taste, keen to get out there again either supported or in a car. I did loose my clutch out there but thankfully it survived the rest of the trip no worries!
