The music missing makes it easier for me to concentrate on your voice, so I myself appreciate it, but your others I've seen with music aren't difficult to concentrate on or overpowering either, so I'm happy with your videos either way

Thanks Leisha. This was a lovely video to do a simple project. I have completed it and the thing i learned from it is the last row of single crochet finished off the book mark nice and tidy. It is looking very good. I also managed to do the head band, it wasnt bad, there were a few mistakes in it but the fact that i could recognise them says a lot, my bow wasnt very good but it was the first attempt and i will be trying more.

Oh, that's so exciting! Glad you were able to make the bookmark and headband. Practice and progress! When I'm writing a pattern, I have to make the same thing over and over to get it right sometimes too. I'd love to see and share pictures. You can email them to me withloveleisha@gmail.com or tag me on social if you'd like to share them with me.🙏💕

Let me just say now THANK YOU!! ❤ I've been "trying to learn" to crochet for a few months now (& I'm more "committed" to learn this time than the other 100 times I've tried & gave up 😥 enough to buy ALL the cotton yarn I need to get all my protects started, in every color I need & that's a LOT!! & I'll add more as I need it to finish each) but everytime I crochet a swatch or enough to "practice makes perfect", hoping I can force muscle memory faster?) I have questions to the most frustrating things that make you wanna just give up altogether (I'm sure that sounds drastic or dramatic, but it's not 😭) I'm only on your 2nd row & you've already answered more of my questions than the other ton of beginner friendly videos I've watched. So again THANK YOU!! ❤

Awww I'm sorry it's been such a frustrating process! But I'm so glad you found this video helpful. I want crochet to always be relaxing and fun for you! You don't sound dramatic, by the way, I bet sooo many of us can relate! Hope you enjoy this pattern and get to use up some of those cottons you bought! Thanks so much for your feedback on the music. And thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot!💕🙏

It's gonna sound so dumb but wondering by the end "how many stitches should I have? And why am I always 1 or 2 short?!" You answered both of those almost immediately (chaining 1 more than what's needed) and you showed that "strange little stitch" that always makes me 1 short 😥 & 3 you've shown exactly what to count when trying to count your stitches ❤
These little things you would ask your teacher while they're sitting next to you, that you miss out on without. 😥 My mom taught me to knit as a teen, so she's always been the one I've asked knitting questions.
I do believe I'm a "visual learner" bc of how MUCH I learn from watching tutorial videos & how much I don't from books 😥 I have never made more than a chain while trying to learn from books, so this is most definitely the most I've ever learned & understood well enough to actually have completed rows in my hands (well, completed without the correct amount of stitches yet) 😥 but I WILL make this book mark... until I have enough made for my grandchildren to each have 1 & 1 for myself too 😉 I'll comment again once I have 😉 but I already feel confident enough to make this my 1st completed project ❤ (I really need to learn to STOP ripping out my stitches & starting over 😥 I am my own worse critic 💔)

@@WithLoveLeisha now that I've finished the video, that is such a beautiful pattern ❤ and I've learned another new stitch ❤ Thank you for adding that you can use this same pattern for anything square ❤ I've been looking for something pretty enough to put on the back of my latch hook pillow front for my bdrm & my biggest goal by the end is to replace every cloth item in my kitchen & then to make 2 of each item for my 2 daughters & daughter-in-law. This pattern will make the prettiest dishrag & dishtowel. Thank you again ❤

That's not dumb! That's what all of us are left wondering on most patterns- including me when I'm working on someone else's pattern.
Actually funny story. I was trying to crochet one of My Own old patterns and was asking myself those questions! Haha that definitely made me note those things down better, and be sure to mention it.
Awww so happy you feel like things are clicking! Don't hesitate to ask if you're ever working through a pattern and you're confused.😊💕

I was hoping to how how the extended crochet was done a few more times. 🙁

Oh no! Thanks for the feedback. Also, something I do that helps me is slow down the playback speed in the settings of your youtube player. It's not the same as seeing it done a few more times, but it's helpful. 💕
