- This time we covered the work of a popular Japanese hairdresser in Harajuku from the start until the end of a business day! I shot the behind the scenes of that hairdresser who can't be seen on a regular basis as is!
I also covered his behavior from waking up to leaving the house, the scenery of the living room of a Tokyo hairdresser living alone, and how he commutes. I even covered the scenery of his commute, strolling through Yoyogi Park by bicycle, and how he spends his time from the start of work to business hours. Usually there is a lot of content in the business of a sale. Then we had a question corner with the salon owner and the charismatic hairdresser!

12 years and counting as a hairstylist myself,
We don't have a fix time to have our meal most of the time,
This is because we always serve clients from the day we start and finish work.
We work long hours even on holidays,
That's our mission and goal to give our best.

Thats depending on the Salon you're working at. I work in a 4 Day Week with full payment. We have 1 hour break everyday and we can eat whenever we want.

It scares me to stand in a hair dresser salon and sometimes I have panick attacks, but watching him you can feel his warmth and sincerety to his customers if only they had more like him here in New. Go to a Japanese salon ! I live in Sydney,Australia and it's full of Japanese hair salons and it's EXACTLY like this one small salon but very friendly and cool hairdressers. I go to one in Chatswood and they work the exact same way you get complimentary tea cups and a stamp card and they treat you the exact same way as you see in this video except that it's in Australia haha
But yeah I'm sure you guys have them in NZ too you should check it out.
But I highly recommend going to a Japanese salon. You'll get the best experience ever 😊
My husband is Japanese and he is the one who introduced me to the salon I go to since he has his habits there and his stylist Kouichi he is amazing sooo friendly and kind we even became friends with him and hang out even outside the salon and he is one of our best friends. I looove Japanese people always sooo kind and friendly and fun to be around 😊❤
Young man, when you go home to sleep, alleviate your feet by putting a small cushion under your feet. It will help in blood flow and reduce the swelling in your legs.
You need to drink enough water... around 2.5 liters a day. Eat a salad daily.

As a hairdresser myself (since 20 years), this motivates me and it is fun to watch. They all seem very nice and positive and the customers seem very polite. There are days I hate my job with a passion. Although we have a regular break of 30 minutes, time to eat and work from 9am to 6pm, there are times I cant stand peoples talking. I love hair though. So that is a love/hate relationship xD

It's interesting to see people in a different part of the world doing the same type of work as myself 🙂. No designated lunch breaks where I work either. We take breaks if we can get them. Constantly busy and standing all day long. No problems with leg swelling, but my back bothers me. It's all part of it,I guess. I love my profession and the salon I work in. Greetings Taisei, when my back hurts, I use a tea, such as catnip to ease the discomfort. Also, finding a good physical therapist, can help you relax & drain the extra fluids from your lower body & contribute to your overall well-being. How about a relaxing day at a spa or at the beach sometimes, this can be really beneficial, pamper yourself too. You have great work ethics, but self care is essential, you should also take time to eat a proper lunch... Thanks for sharing.
There's a Japanese salon in my part of LA that just started selling trendy expensive clothing. It's a weird idea for LA. But now I see that maybe they're taking up a trend from Tokyo.

I’m definitely going to this hair Salon in 2025 because I’m going to be studying in japan that year and I’ve always wanted to experiment with my hair especially dyeing it and I really want to find a hair style that will suit me while I’m in japan but I will have to ask them to make a style that doesn’t show my four head to much but I definitely what to dye my hair when I get to japan in 2025
