    Tires Tires Tires.... If I was ever good there in practice I knew I would be out to lunch for the race.

    You should look into cooter power racing engines. It seemed like we were always behind on hp until we got on a cooter motor. The guy who owns it, Tony Wyatt, is a very nice guy too.

      I know guys on cooter power motors and I’ve never seen them run in the back!

    Victor peters is the way to go, who does your clutches?

      I've heard mixed fillings on VP. He's my local guys so I'm sure everyone has had a different experience and opinion of their own. I need to have a conversation when next time I see him. Jim Edwards has been doing my clutches.

    A better motor isnt gonna make you win more now. Investing in improving your tire game WILL make you more competitive. If you could have swapped motors with the winning kart. That kart still wins the race you still run the same. Tires wins races.
    Have you got a tire box for rolling inside prep?

    • @DegenerateGarage
      @DegenerateGarage  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Absolutely! The comment was kind of irrelevant to this video, yes I missed on tires. I only brought two sets, three if you count the yellows I practiced in. (I didn’t have a need to buy more Vegas and start a rotation so I cheaped out). But, back home where I have a better grasp on what to show up to the track with, I’m running a million race old KSR that I bought used for $400 bucks, last year…. I’m just saying I want to ditch the crate and predator and focus on running heavy. With that, I’d like to start with a good relationship for an engine builder and was looking for suggestions. And yes, I have a box for rolling inside.

      @@DegenerateGarage 💯 agree with focusing on clone. When I stopped racing this last time. I ran Speed Clinic motors. My motor was a beast.
      I'm getting back into dirt karting again. I will get another speed clinic clone. I gotta thank you. Your videos are part of getting me back into this. You're kicking butt. Keep up the hard work.

      @@DegenerateGarageI couldn’t agree more with what Shawn said, motor & chassis is irrelevant without tires, I’m also local to Florida but try to find a local group for tires and stick with them, as time goes on, you’ll learn more and evolve into your next realm of racing, then find a good local motor builder and build that relationship, chassis relationships are the last thing you’ll get into cause at that point you’d be a “professional”

      I said the same thing, my standard prep is Orange (very close in color to Goat) and I think I wiped with the goat early in the week. My "Money" set that I used for qualifying felt way too soft when they shouldn't have been.

    Ditch the slow poke 4 stroke motors and go with a 2 stroke class. Can't convince me that these 4 stroke classes are any kind of fun, let alone worth the time and money.

    I tried to help you with motor one time before about 18 months ago. You did not respond back. And it isn't only motor.

      I'm ready to give up on it myself. I can only count 2 races where it actually felt good. Idk what it is man
