Volusia Season continues! We showed up ready to collect a few checks but Florida summer rains thought otherwise. Not sure calling it was the right move but that's just how it goes. Got some laps in with some friends so it's not all a loss.

The kart was good but you need more practice ur way over driving the kart ur trying to drive it wide open threw the turns and u can do that because a couple of times u was coming off the throttle rite before you would drop In and you would Cain on them then u would go back wide open again then you start jerking the steering wheel and sliding the tires and that kills them
@@RandyMorgan-ww6wx this was some of our first clone races, thanks for the feed back! Almost a year later and I’m still working at it! I started with a predator, so it was a habit to run full throttle and just scrub some speed on entry to be fast.
@@DegenerateGarage understand yea I raced for 25 years I started off first then my oldest boy started racing we did it for about 10 years then we sold it all then my youngest son wanted to race so we started back up and spent another 30k and did it tell two years ago then he had a baby on the way and he went part time tell he didn’t want to keep doing so all of the stuff is setting in the garage i though we may start back at it some day lol but good luck in the future of kart racing

It’s been a brutal summer, I don’t recall last year being this bad. Hopefully we get some drier days in the fall!

Can you explain the "Box stock" class motor? Is it a predator?
The box stock is a built to spec class using a 196cc “box stock project” engine. It’s the current standard for all classes, depending on age group they use different muffler sizes and restrictor plates for the carburetors. There are tons of builders
Good job! Great video! Ive been karting since 2004. Ive seen racers like the yellow kart driver. GUARANTEED hes a douchebag. Anyone that runs people into the infield thats passing them. Blocking for EVERY position, lol. Yellow kart cobbed up that whole race.

Definitely leave the nice karts/body at home! Burbank is a lot of fun, backyard style. Find them on FB and let me know when you wanna come down, it's just east of Silver Glen and they run on Friday nights.

I have 3 sets. 1 punching 55 1 punching 50 and 1 punching 40 .
See if you can buy wheels in a buyout. I got like 15 sets for $1000 one time. You’ll still never have enough wheels. Going on 40 sets and always seems like I need more….

Not sure how much it rained at hurricane Saturday but I live pretty close to it 20 min drive and it barely rained at my house haha

Jasper is a relatively hard track. 3 and 4 is slightly tighter than 1 and 2 so dragging the brake was always something to try out in that corner
if you win I will say star power is the best but till then it is ok
