The song's meaning is about someone singing an infant to sleep because their mother "went to the store to bye bread" when in reality the mother was never coming back. Mainly because of poverty.
@@jemi-active4994 lol I dunno about that part anymore. Maybe she did come back,, maybe not- our maybe those lyrics were added later on as the years passed
My grandmother sings that to get me sleep when Im was 5-8 yrs old. Its good song! Till they put in a horror movie... That's why some people feel creepy when they here this song. It makes me sleep!
The song is not actually a creepy song. it's a luluby song for baby, it became creepy because of the Filipino movie "white lady." Just like the song "tiptoe" it's a love song it just became creepy because they became a movie theme song of "insidious."
I'm the Filipino myself so i know how this song is sad so the story is when the mother is gone who is buying bread and died because a Spain person killed her. The father died because he fought in a war. It's sad then the mother became a ghost and sang the song to her son who coudnt sleep because his mother and father was dead. So in order that he will fall asleep his mother must sing the song to put him to sleep. Sorry bout my bad English I'm a Filipino so... Haha
You must have watch the animation right?. Because if you are then you're wrong about this story because it was only made by the animator. This song is actually used for other female relatives to make a young child fall asleep if their mother has other work to attend to
This is for adults (mainly the mother) to sing for their children it actually means sleep my little one while mommy is/is gonna buying/buy bread *you might not be Filipino this lesson I have learnt when I was in 3rd grade* My friend in Davao (I'm from Manila) and I were calling eachother (in 3rd grade she moved to Davao) and she asked what was your subject earlier It was about the meanings behind the songs (Filipino songs) mostly Visaya but some are not She said same. I know you might not had this lesson on your place but I'm pretty sure it did Don't watch other videos that'll lead you into a false info it's only fanmade if you want the truth *I-SURGE MO* look it up on Google I mean
when i heard this song its makes me feel scary.....the story come from a real family who left her child to work......i forgot the channel of the person posted.....maybe just search it....
This song made me cry a little

My mama used to sing me this lullaby when I was kid
its a child lullaby of a mother to her child to fall asleep.
This song actually scared me when I was like 1-6 although this song is very beautiful
Hanggang ngayun naman eh. 😭
I cried hard while listening to this...
Beautiful lullaby 🌧
My language is sweet. Hiligaynon is a language spoken mostly in Panay and Negros and some part of Mindanao.
I remember my mama lucing used to sung this for me when i was in a hammock.
A song of appeasement for an infant abandoned by parents. Excellent if sang by Spanish accent singer.
I remember we sang this lullaby when I was in primary 4 in a choir competition. Hahahah
Haha,i hope you won.
I used to sing this song to my baby sisters to bring them to sleep. Middle of the song they sleep!
It's a beautiful and ethereal song.
