  • These characters in Attack on Titan represent the seven deadly sins.
Warning for Attack on Titan spoilers (Obviously).
This will be part 1 of a series I plan to cover other anime.
Shout out to / cawniva for the exceptional editing.
Feel free to comment on your list below, as many of these sins can relate to multiple characters equally.

GOATed video. The 7 Deadly Sins aren't so straightforward with AoT, given the complexity of the characters. But damn, you pulled it off Reiner. Case in point: Yelena's Gluttony of Zeke's ideology, rather than your typical gluttony.
And I love the inclusion of Vainglory and Melancholy, which you don't normally see in 7 Deadly Sins videos. Floch and Reiner are the perfect representations of these. And together, they sound a lot like my personality. The polarity of "I'm hot shit" and "I'm total shit" 😂😳

Here's an idea. Which characters embody the Seven Heavenly Virtues, which oppose the Seven Deadly Sins:
    - Humility: Jean Kirstein (opposite of Pride)
As Marco said. Jean is a great leader not because he's strong, but because he's an ordinary guy who understands what it means to be weak. He's even humble enough to empathise with Reiner and acknowledge him as a fellow Scout, even though he killed Marco in a cruel and pointless way.
    - Charity: Falco Grice (opposite of Greed)
Do I even need to explain best boy Falco? He regularly puts his life at risk to help others. He offers medical aid to injured enemy soldiers, he helps 'Kruger' before he learns the truth of him, he always risks his life for Gabi, and despite not knowing if his Titan can even fly, he's adamant on trying if it means saving humanity. The latter even inspires Annie (Greed) to join the final battle.
    - Chastity: Zeke Jaeger (opposite of Lust)
AoT has lts of characters who refrain from sex and relationships. Largely because Isayama is shy! But who better to represent Chastity than the guy who believes stopping Eldians from reproducing will save the world? Bonus points for him seeing multiplication as a mere survival mechanism in Paths.
    - Kindness: Freckle Ymir (opposite of Envy)
Ymir's story is all about going out of her way to give her girl Historia her best life. Also ironic that Ymir and Porco both gain the Jaw Titan, and they're the opposite sin/virtue.
    - Temperance: Arthur Braus (opposite of Gluttony)
Temperance is all about restraint, including restraint from revenge by practicing forgiveness. Arthur isn't in the series for very long. But he's known most for facing down the girl who murdered his daughter, and choosing to spare her life instead of taking revenge on a child. He's an incredibly strong person and I just f*cking cried writing this...
    OK, we're back.
    - Patience: Levi Ackerman (opposite of Wrath)
Patience is all about perseverance in difficult circumstances. Levi has done this his entire damn life. Being malnourished in the underground. Losing everyone around him. Dealing with Zeke given his 'secret plan' for Eldia. But Levi still pushes on.
    - Diligence: Erwin Smith (opposite of Sloth)
As well as Eren, Erwin is one of the most persistent and proactive characters. In only a few months of Eren joining the Scouts, Erwin captures the Female Titan, overthrows the corrupt government in the walls, leads a suicide charge against the Beast Titan, and leads the Scouts to the truth of the outside world. Unlike the girl he made Queen, Erwin doesn't f*ck around.

What are your thoughts? Good video or mid-tier?

W video. W script. W editing. This is one of your most high quality. Even the ai voices seemed like you actually timed them to fit the images

This is so nuanced and I love it! I also love the interpretation of fanaticism as a form of gluttony.

Absolutely well-written script and narrative, the only thing I could think differently is Jean being with the sloth sin,but Historia kind of makes sense too,I just think Jean fits sloth better.

I think he said Historia due to isayama shelving her importance this making her sloth due to her inaction while getting pregnant for what seems to be no clear reason

Yelena's ideological gluttony presents a massive irony with her. In chapter 127, Yelena talks about how the Alliance gulp down the idea of "saving the world" as if it washes away all the sins they've committed. Yet she does the exact same damn thing. She believes that by assisting Zeke in "saving the world" via euthanisation, it justifies her own sins. Such as providing all of Eldia's military with tainted wine that turns them into Titans, or assisting with the attack on Liberio.
Yelena has just as much blood on her hands as everyone else at the campfire. Yet she's so eager to call out everyone else for their sins. What makes this even more hypocritical is that unlike the Scouts and Warriors, who joined the military for survival reasons and were following orders, Yelena is a rich Marleyan who threw herself in 'the forest' because she has a hard-on for Zeke. Side note: she also doesn't call out Magath who, you know, sent the Warriors to attack Paradis. Only the Warriors themselves.
Conclusion: Yelena is a hypocrite. She's the AoT equivalent of a spoiled rich kid hating on soldiers who were forced into war
