I feel this fight lends itself to a system similar to the orcus fight in t9, have 3 people take three different buffs, each one giving more threat to a specific mob, hulk / snake / scorp . Or even like infernal citadel where you get an extra power to say stun a mob for X amount of time for an arti call would work beautifully. I like the idea of having 3 mobs that need to be controlled and not just a straight dps race, like second boss, but it’s just not implemented well, and the changes have made it 100x worse.
You don't need that many. We do it w 1 cw. We've done it with lock, hunter, barbarian. Always w just 1 Cw. Fighter tank does bull charge on scorpion. Knocks it the hell back. Cw entangles the snake. Artifact on boss. Arcane singularity on spiders. Takes like 1 or 2 more artifact calls than before. Avoid hitting the scorpion. Done.
In my grp we do it with 2 CW and me as Barb DPS going nuts on the hulk. That’s basically the easiest way we’ve done it. I’m not pushing my healer to buy a Aggro ring when she already has all debuff mounts and all debuff artefacts aswell as all companions. It’s ridiculous.
Done it a few times since change, tend to accidentally kill scorp at around 50% boss hp, so we push the scorp into the snake once to full heal scorp. Easy lol.
It’s a shit show. We’ve been using multiple cc powers to push scorpion to healer to heal it up. Spiders are also a shit show on Xbox with very janky explosion radiuses and last second jumps
My issue with this dungeon is the gear drop rate Imagine u join a avg grp, by the end of the run the team use a combine 80 scrolls and during the entire dungeon run, 1 piece of gear dropped and 5 players have to rely on rng to get said gear... wtf?
Because of the Change on the 1st Boos it became the Hard Boss in that Dungeon, well in Advance, but IF and ONLY if you find a good team that know how to move scoprpion & snake away from Boss it can be Clear the real problem is when you join a Random team and literaly dont move the scorion & snake away it will be A LOT HARD to clear there´s a lot of players that dont have friends so they can enter togher, so they ask 4 invite to join a group, another problem is dps have to make a LOT of damage, and players must be 85k have good gear from past Dungeons/Trials, because a group of players 55k to 70k are going to had a REALLY HARD time to just clear the 1st boss now the gear that Bosses suppose to drop are VERY VERY RARE DROPS, main problem there´s that WHEN it drops something is ONLY 1 item for all the group, and alll whant to keep it, even if they character dont need, but because maybe they have a class that it can use it, tehy press greed. but so far the Drops Rates are 1% or lessm i have clear the dungeon in Advance around 20 times and i only have get 2 times drops in 1st Boss and 1 time in second Boss, last Boss it drops mostly all the time the weapons, but so far ONLY 1 time it drop me some Gear loot dont know why they change that, in MDWP Boses had a chance to drops items for any player, maybe you are not lucky but the others they can get a item, or they dont get anything but you get something, But in IC is not the same to be clear, this are the mai problems 1- Scorpion mechanic is BIF FAIL to do it in Advance 2- Gear Drops froms Bosses are extrimily low (drops rate need to increase to a 10%) 3- Gear Drops are only 1 item for all group (this must be 1 gear for each player) 4- in sometimes the Lag make it very hard to play
I think they wont be increasing the Drops or anything for gear or give 1 to each person because you can buy them in the Dungeon Store (excuses, in my opinion) but yeah, just not really good gear there and at least should be dropping 1 gear, theres times that doesnt drop anything
A single wizard with orb of imposition can control both snake and scorpion. Moreover, you can just ignore it most of the time, pushing it near snake only when around 30% HP left
Tanking both w/ a healer companion works well with a push to snake occasionally for a heal, if needed. If using another to tank, healer companion, no aggro ring, occasional smite to hold or if aggro is lost also worked well.
*Great video* I think you should do a video on what rolls each character has in a dungeon, because you play with randoms RTQ RADQ and you have players just doing whatever not controlling mobs not doing crystals just fighting the boss.
One of the main problem i saw on many runs is a bug agro of the pets. They agro scorp, as if you reset their agro. We run it with passiv pets + single target spells and it s ok. Little bit longer but it worked everytime
The absolute most reliable way is 2 tanks, the second one is a dps that just switches to a tank for this fight. Doesnt have to be a great tank, but that tank can infinitely hold the scoprion and Yuan-ti. Makes the entire fight a breeze when DPS has AoE for spiders or know how to get out. We prefer just killing them tho it makes the whole fight 100% succes rate and we still manage
Love how they made Normal version harder to clear.....just make the Scorpion and the Snake unkillable if the Hulk is alive... Nerfing the Snake's healing I understand...but come on, the devs enabled a fail-state that was never ment to be triggered in the first place.
What my group did today and we were farming 1st boss honestly is one tank on boss and my tank had agro on scorpion and snake on the other side. It was kinda awkward but we did it several times on master mode.
Every time I entered as TR in this boss everyone was obssessed with tr's using AoE for spiders (oc scorpio was cc away). Spiders do dodge to you when they are about to explode, so each time I tried ST , the deaths were too much cause spiders would dodge to someone the very last min and explode before dodging/jumping whatever.... really annoying to not know which strategy works best, they should definitely adjust it.
Wizard here.. not hard at all to hold scorpion and snake together as long as you let the wizard start the fight with wrangling force on the scorpion, and push it to snake. Rotate EF and ROF on the two of them and they stay put pretty well. Was able to handle the 2 back generators as well.. not much time left to damage on boss fights though.. just for artifact call
My guild does it with a tank and a second tank like a fighter that can change from tank to dos. Before we start the fighter or Barbie switch to tank mode and tank the snake and scorpion. Pull the to the left and then the rest go after the boss.
if you use the arcanist with time stop, icy path, repel, entangeling force it is very easy to control both snake and scorp just need one cw for it I ran it my self much easier.

We have always left the scorpion alone in advanced and let the tank take both the hulk and scorpion. One dps takes the snake. Did the dmg change or something? Can the tank not take both? I manage to keep the tank alive until we kill the hulk and kill the other two at the end..
they changed the damage resistance of the scorpion so it is very easy to accidentally kill it, at least for most groups. When that happens the hulk rages and it is a wipe
Playing as a Fighter TANK, I had to use Bull Charge to push the scorpion away from the boss, while the wizard froze it close to the yuan-ti, because the scorpion is fast. When the boss reach less than 25%HP, we start to ignore the scorpion. After this forced adjustment on my tank, my team can finigh this fight without problems.
Dc heal plus wiz is also great combo. Dc sunburst can really push scorpion and snake very very far away but need a good cw to push them together first. Dc heal will keep them at the back most of the time. Occasionally scorpion runs back to hulk bc it's fast but wiz will repel it back to snake. Problem is there are lots of bad wiz too ingame. Some even repel scorpion or snake to boss lol.
One wizard is enough as Arcanist to CC perfectly. Time Steal[ tab], repel, entangling force, arcane temptest. Some wizards asked the tips and I would like to share it to all. They are surprised I can CC both efortlessly without a sweat! Of course the at-will using ray of frost.
@@riannscelos5890 If it is immune to CC, you cannot use repel as well and knockback from the Fighter. Then, how come the Thaumaturge and fighter can do that? Are you sure playing the game or simply making assumptions?

As a wizard, I push scorpion to snake twice -- one time right before ground starts melting, and before. And then hanging in the air, which gives me the opportunity to calmly freeze the snake with a beam next to him, and, if necessary, let him heal him. This method is not ideal, because my DPS suffers for objective reasons, and all of it requires some skill. But it is quite convenient, and still allows my team not to be distracted by anything. After all, isn’t this the sacred role of a Control Wizard? ❄🔥
Yeah, im just a regulars wizard and do the same thing. Idk what people are complaining about. I don't even focus control. All damage feats, and the only arcane stacks I get are from the repel and entangling cast.
Single target the hulk, while the tank kites. We've been getting through it decently well along as we have someone controlling the snake.. the scorpion has not been a problem really as long ad you stun and quickly kill the spiders

The easiest way it's so easy that most people are looking past it. Have a scorpion companion on and the tank simply tanks at 9 or 3:00 put the scorpion at the door 6 o clock the DPS at the arena 12. You'll still need at least a ranger or a CW to keep the snake away tho
Considering they recently stated that the intention is for any combination of class to be reasonably able to complete all content it seems weird they've implemented this change. Not a huge problem for experienced player groups with plenty of resources and class depth but it's definitely an issue for players with less resources burning through scrolls and wiping repeatedly here.
I said it on the first video of this fight; it's a poor design. Dmg resistance on the scorpion was a crutch to prop up a bad design. Design things right from the beginning and you dont have this kind of nomsense.
Hilariously still broken, no kidding, just did this today and the boss glitched and spawned behind the wall in the campfire area today. Ridiculous. Drops from dungeon are rubbish for dps. No point in running this dungeon at all other than to help your healer mates for their gear. Not wasting my time on this especially now.
Done with this shiit, i can get the rest of the cosmic pearls from campaign/Vocath's arena to upgrade ring. No need to put yourself through this shiitshow...Peace out, see ya next mod, maybe....
Barb tank main here this boss now is just broken and not fun after the "fix" imo. They could just let the scorpion without any changes and only reduce the yuan-ti healing range in normal mode as they did. Nerfing the hulk was bad decision and a poor one, keeping the scorpion alive have its own penalty he debuff tank when alive if we're not careful enough. Since there are usually lots of self healing in the tank build (insignia combinations boons companion equips encounter and daily powers etc) it's just out of the scope asking a tank to not self heal is similar to ask dps to stop doing critical damage on their build or the boss will get healed after each crit. The current game is just not build for that kind of strategy. Had done this boss with Cleric healer using Sun Burst aiming the scorpion on the snake to get healed, also fighter tank using Bull Rush to throw the scorpion into the snake as well. Problem is not everyone has a "push" control mechanic and this mean the game isnt contemplating all the classes meaning they're not respecting the player choice and freedom of playing with any class they want in that assigned role for that class.
I played for like the first 3 days of the mod, and haven’t touched this game since. It’s going in a really bad direction. There’s almost no way to make AD, and all the new gear costs AD to upgrade, the reagents cost AD, the new dungeon is AIDs, and the gear that comes from it is all garbage. I’m surprised anyone at all is playing this mod. I should thank them though. At least my real life has been more productive as a result.
Waste of time for me - several runs and 1 drop for a group of 5 is far too little - so you never gonna get your gear in randoms...maybe if you run it 24/7 and have a dear group that leaves you the loot. In the last run i lost 8 scolls and was at the top of the board in that case. 😮💨
I play tank fighter.. we play with 1 cw controlled snake.. when scorp have 30% hp, i just bring both boss hulk and corp just near the snake, and BULL CHARGE the scorp to snake to let scorp heal up... hahahhaa.. but make sure no spider.. otherwise u bull charge spider or boss.. hahaha
I dont think advocating to make the boss easier is a good thing. The mechanics are fine, its challenging. I dont wanna steam roll every boss all the time
Ok so appease the dev's and bring "2" wizards or " 2 tanks and a really slow boss fight.....just wreaks of quietly trying to close the game. I just feel bad for Aragon, cause he puts so much effort into helping the community and they just keep shifting everything into junk. Next up a raid where your not allowed to DPS anything its support classes only =)

Ferocity adds to about 1% of your damage

Using augments or non attacking companions can also help.

Hilariously still broken, no kidding, just did this today and the boss glitched and spawned behind the wall in the campfire area today. Ridiculous. EVERY patch they've released BROKE something else instead of fixing it. I have to believe at this point theyredoing it on purpose because they don't like the corporate takeover? You tell me ...
The boss could be aggroed at campfire since 1 hour of release .

Real high dps, 1 Cw , some coordination with the arti call, and the boss falls easily every time.
All these crazy strategies trying to beat this boss because of a change THEY made! Devs highly overestimated the ability of average players. Randoms are a shitshow now…
If no one played it they would fix it faster.
With Whsperknife on ST i take scorp and snake. Its not very fun.
Because clearing it was already hard enough, atleast for literally everyone I have joined :(

Drops from dungeon are rubbish for dps. No point in running this dungeon at all other than to help your healer mates for their gear. Not wasting my time on this especially now.
The dungeon was fun like the first week now its not even worth the time effort or resources

Barb tank main here this boss now is just broken and not fun after the "fix" imo. They could just let the scorpion without any changes and only reduce the yuan-ti healing range in normal mode as they did. Nerfing the hulk was bad decision and a poor one, keeping the scorpion alive have its own penalty he debuff tank when alive if we're not careful enough. Since there are usually lots of self healing in the tank build (insignia combinations boons companion equips encounter and daily powers etc) it's just out of the scope asking a tank to not self heal is similar to ask dps to stop doing critical damage on their build or the boss will get healed after each crit. The current game is just not build for that kind of strategy. Had done this boss with Cleric healer using Sun Burst aiming the scorpion on the snake to get healed, also fighter tank using Bull Rush to throw the scorpion into the snake as well. Problem is not everyone has a "push" control mechanic and this mean the game isnt contemplating all the classes meaning they're not respecting the player choice and freedom of playing with any class they want in that assigned role for that class.
They need to just put it back to the way it originally was
Dont try to run 3 melee class run 2 tank instead 😅
it's just nonsense, many groups can't do it without CW and OP. So friends who otherwise do everything together have to split up !

I played for like the first 3 days of the mod, and haven’t touched this game since. It’s going in a really bad direction. There’s almost no way to make AD, and all the new gear costs AD to upgrade, the reagents cost AD, the new dungeon is AIDs, and the gear that comes from it is all garbage. I’m surprised anyone at all is playing this mod. I should thank them though. At least my real life has been more productive as a result.
A wiz needed dungeon with no gear for wiz thats bis . Way to keep people playing.

Waste of time for me - several runs and 1 drop for a group of 5 is far too little - so you never gonna get your gear in randoms...maybe if you run it 24/7 and have a dear group that leaves you the loot. In the last run i lost 8 scolls and was at the top of the board in that case. 😮💨
I play tank fighter.. we play with 1 cw controlled snake.. when scorp have 30% hp, i just bring both boss hulk and corp just near the snake, and BULL CHARGE the scorp to snake to let scorp heal up... hahahhaa.. but make sure no spider.. otherwise u bull charge spider or boss.. hahaha
I dont think advocating to make the boss easier is a good thing. The mechanics are fine, its challenging. I dont wanna steam roll every boss all the time
Ok so appease the dev's and bring "2" wizards or " 2 tanks and a really slow boss fight.....just wreaks of quietly trying to close the game. I just feel bad for Aragon, cause he puts so much effort into helping the community and they just keep shifting everything into junk. Next up a raid where your not allowed to DPS anything its support classes only =)

My man enough with the stupidity tell your followers to use 2 tanks at the first boss you lose a DPS anyway on controlling the snake.A tank can easily keep both of the around.
Furthmore genius is the scorpion is not around the area when the spiders dash forward they will not do so much damage when they explode

@@Aragon- fighters and barbarians are playing double roles you don't need a skilled tank just some players that will follow instructions
I can give you 30 tanks who do the same as I recommended
