Oh actually same. I didn't touch any other monster romance, ever! but I'm in love with her books. The world, the lore, the Duskwalkers, the brides. They are all in the middle of my heart, including Opal.
Opal wrote a series that I'm afraid to finish. Because when it ends, I will have to close down that era in my heart, I don't know how I will trick myself into starting it again like I started for the first time. I have a bit of OCD about story continuity and I have a hard time restarting what was already done. But I believe that her books will take me to a slightly different journey every time I reread them. Thank you Opal for putting that much of a work into these books, they bring me such joy. (And if you see this, I love you. And I mean it supportiverly and respectfully.
To be honest, I had a harder time with Aleron and Gideon than with Emerie and Ingram. No spoilers, but it was heartbreaking. Made me hold my chest for half of the book, to prevent it from collapsing. And that's fantaqstic to read a book that does this to me and I still love it. I wanna do it again... I want them on my self... okay, where's my kindle?
I can read the books with a face like I read the news, even on the public transport. But an AUDIOBOOK? Just imagine listening to it on the bus... I would laugh so hard at me being so embarressed
