Hello mate, could you explain how you find out how much xbox controllers are worth with CEX?.
I picked up a good condition one at the bootfair on Sunday but there seems to be quite a few different ones on the CEX site.
They should be on the CEX app mate. Bear in mind it should have the serial number and the warranty seal not broken 👍🏻🕹

The gameboy color just be careful as you can get them pokemon shell aftermarket, i don't know how to tell if its legit or not, maybe by the label on the back and possibly by the front lens if if has a glass screen that will mean its been replaced. Either way just for a standard gameboy color its a steal
Yeah a few people have said that but I’m 99% sure mine is legit. But yeah like you say either way it’s a good price and i’ll keep it for my collection 👍🏻🕹

My Sunday boot sale:
Smash bros ultimate, stardew valley and some high trade in box sets (about £30) all for £45!!
Already sold the switch games and made £54 back before trading in!
I also got a sealed copy of Wii Fit Plus for £1
And my personal favourite pickup, a sealed copy of Windows Vista for £0.10!! I am trying to collect the windows versions but if I wanted to I could sell that for £25!
I also got 3 call of duty PC games for only £2, all good condition and complete, they trade in for about £15 but not sure if they need to be sealed or not..
I also got a copy of Minecraft for £3, I am going to print artwork (I can print high quality on good paper) and trade in or sell for about £10
I also got a xbox game special edition called ‘Evil Dead: a fistful of broomstick’ which has a dvd film inside, for £2 I will try to sell it for £25 but it will probably have to be discounted to sell

Some very good pick ups mate!! The PC games will have (S) next to them on the CEC app if they need to be sealed. If they say (SN) it means they need the serial number which is usually in the manual 👍🏻🕹

Really nice pick up on that Gameboy. You are spot on with boot sales it's just consistency and luck. Yeah getting there early does help but all my best pick ups have been from the stall that turned up late and I just happened to be walking by at the right time.

It does get stressful selling, i tell people to come beck myself when I’m tired and trying to arrange things nice and people are standing over me it bothers me . He was just trying to get some space and time to set up how he wants too and he probably had others pestering him way before you approached him mate so don’t take it personally you know how these early starts can be for sellers.

I like how you are funding your hobby of collecting games by picking stuff up for cheap at carbon sales and then selling them for profit , trading them for vouchers at CEX. You have also sometimes sold some items on ebay. So what about tax . Do you still have to pay tax on those ? I am interested in doing something similar for my hobby. Just wondering how that would work with tax? or if I pick up something off boot sale and then sell it on ebay. Either use that money to fund my hobby. Do I need to pay tax on that?
