How can people say Buck's attraction to and pursuing of Tommy came out of nowhere? They've been screaming that this guy has a major awakening waiting to happen since he broke up with Taylor. ABC just wasn't afraid to give it to us.
Exactly. Throughout the show everyone was always giving him a hard time for how he consistently repeats falls into the same bad habits in his relationships. Then in season six they were practically SCREAMING that Buck was ready to figure out what was next. Then, when he actually does, everyone is like "WOAH they just made him bisexual out of NOWHERE."
I also think it's hilarious to remember how everyone's immediate reaction to the episode where he and Tommy first kiss was: "wow, it only took ABC four episodes to do what FOX couldn't do in six seasons."
some people still want Buck with Eddie and I can see that but the more I watch Buck and Tommy together in episodes I actually root for them because they’re so cute 🥰

As anyone who has been following the show for the past 7 yrs, they've seen Bucks' journey to Tevan, with little clues of Bucks' leanings thrown in along the way. As Hen says to Karen at the end of the clip,"it's about time!"👏👏👏
I don’t know what kind of sorcerer lou ferrigno jr is, cause the man has not only our boy buck on a chokehold but also all of us. I love both buck and tommy individually so much, and them together is pure magic! They better be endgame
Personally, I don't really have any thoughts on the "endgame" of the matter. This is TRULY so new and anything can happen. I just love the direction they are taking his character and how this exciting new relationship is a part of that. Whatever happens in the future - well, I'm just along for the ride! seeing Buck and Tommy together they’re becoming my favorite couple of Buck’s, seeing Buck so happy and confident exploring his new life of being queer/bi is what he’s always wanted in his life he’s been looking for his person all along since the beginning of season one… and that person happens to be Tommy ❤
I love how you put Buck’s seriousness behind this…. it’s easy to focus on his chaos as its so fun but he has this amazing depth and thought and this edit shows that beautifully in regards to his journey. 👏🏻
This show made me rethink my place in this world. I too also felt like I was just drifting through the wind or going with the flow throughout my life just like Buck before he became a firefighter, and I really never found anything that actually gave my life purpose or meaning. I'm nearing the end of my 20's and I still haven't figured out what I wanted to do. Society tells me that, that's not normal, and I keep thinking that it actually isn't. At this point, I just want to find a place where I belong, like how Buck found his at the firehouse. It was never about the job, but rather, finding something that actually means something to you that makes you whole. I want to find that, not because anyone told me I should, but because it's for me.
Sending you love along on your journey. No one at any point has anything actually figured out. We're just all doing our best. It's good that you've found a character/storyline that you can connect with and see a reflection of yourself in, and I hope it's a help. That is art's greatest gift.

I'm still going to sit down and watch all seven seasons over the summer to watch the character of Buck develop but this makes it easier, kind of like the Cliff Notes version of Bucks Story. It really does all add up to Tommy.

I just noticed the other day that Tracie Thoms' (Karen) name has been coming up under the 'Guest Staring' section and she's been on the show for all 7 seasons. So I feel better about Tommy's longevity, even as a guest star. He may never be considered a 'show regular', but that may be irrelevant! Lol
