+100 points for quality of video. -200 for annoying repetitive music. There's nothing wrong with having a video using just the ambient sounds. Some of my favourite videos, are just somebody working quietly. No bullshit, no shit music just tools and tinkering.
Honestly I feel like I have half of this space to work with in the N18, is there more clearance in the N14 because whenever I work in the heat shield / downpipe area I feel like I can hardly move whatsoever, even when pets are removed like yours lol
There is no space on the N14 either... I have resported to removing the whole front end when doing any work to the exhuast & oil cooler area. It may seem dauting at first but it means you wont be smashing your knuckles or cutting your hands.
@@DomBounty I thought putting the Mini into service model meant removing some large bolts at the bottom frame and the whole front part slides forwards?
@@soyabean911 Yes, you're correct - its not hard, and doing that will give you so much more room to work, and ultimately saving you time. The process is fairly straight forward... remove your headlights, bumper, crash bar, intercooler, slam panel, and you are there :)
Once you fix that the plastic cooling pipe behind the engine will go, then the timing chain plastic guide rails, then the injectors will stick, then the top mounts of the suspension will go and on and on, that engine is a pile of crap and cost me a bloody fortune. never touch another mini apart from the orginal again.

I never think to do this way, by unbolt the front without taking out the radiator, nice video!
Stop that noise/music
Sorry used the mute button sorted
still worth pulling the rad out tho. looks uncomfortable
Glad you explained the process, the challenges, and solutions. Very odd video.
the challenges is that your back is gonna kill you after leaning over like this to do the job. just take the front end off
could you please tell the specific problems. Was the car smoking?
How long does this take + the cost of parts. Just wondering how much it costs to sort my oil leak out in my r56.
Why no taking

What's with the music? No Englisho??
Downpipe? Any check engine light?
yes, but O2 foulers would do the job.
